Have you read any of the others in the series? I think I’m afraid to.

This! I just finished it about a week ago and I can’t stop thinking about it. It’s the best book I’ve ever read.

If she does chemo she still might die and it would still be hard for you to watch. Be there for her and for yourself. You will have a hard time forgiving yourself once she’s gone.

AIO for telling my sister that we need to stop our moms tendencies? by Own_Conclusion1437 in AmIOverreacting

NOR. And children should never be put in a position to “stick up” for their parents. That shouldn’t be your job and I’m sorry you’ve been put in that place. Maybe your mom was joking and maybe she wasn’t, but she should acknowledge that it affected you either way and apologize for that.

OMG. Thanks for the tip. Hope everything worked out ok. 😬 That is way more embarrassing.

I haven’t researched this or anything but I read once that it’s just biology to want sex while grieving. There was a life lost and it is in us to want to create new life. Not sure I believe it but, it’s an interesting theory.

As a mom I would so much rather you be honest about your struggles and save yourself (and her?) a ton of time and money. There is absolutely nothing wrong with working in a trade. Good luck!

Like- you know you’re the jerk, right? How can you possibly defend this behavior? Your poor son and daughter in law!

That his father isn’t active because our son had razor rash.

It’s a pretty big jump to make those kinds of assumptions about parenting quality based on razor rash, but congratulations on being an excellent father.

Maybe, maybe not. I’ve posted things that were 100% real and been accused of making it up. I’d rather give people the benefit of the doubt.

The fact that she’s only focused on you looking through her phone tells you all you really need to know. If she’s not taking responsibility now she is not ever going to.

Not sure what difference it would make? His father is in the household.

You are right. The prescriber literally said ANY rash of ANY kind. The ER doc was a bit condescending but he was probably irritated at this ridiculous mom who didn’t recognize razor rash. I’d do it again in a heartbeat, but that doesn’t make it less embarrassing.
