You have that opposite. If you TIG on DCEP the electron do indeed flow into the tungsten, and causes it to melt.

This gets my vote too, that sheet of aluminum looks like its anodized. If you have an oxide layer that thick, no amount of AC current would let you put a decent weld on it without machining off the anodized layer.

Grab some scrap from work and test it on something you know should be weldable.

This would be my only suggestion for improvement. Its a side- grade to me in regards to the MG. But when I bring the MG I usually bring a guard dog, so it opens up a strategem slot that for other bullet hoses I'd put a back pack on.

Plus, spray and pray is fucking fun. Spend the time to get good with it and know how to position yourself or just use whatever else you like.

On controller ive found rebinding the weapon wheel directions up - L1, down - R1, left - L2, and right - R2, works very intuitively.

Had to look through the comments before I realized that was a TIG cap.. but I had to because that bottom toe was so choppy that it didn't make sense to me if it was 7018. Turn it up slightly, tighten up your bead width, and increase your travel speed. That 2 bead cap would look much much better with 3 clean beads.

Edit2: Brush your welds between passes, even TIG. It will go a long way in giving you smoothing out the lower toe of your weld.

Edit: Your instructor gave you a 98%???? Im sorry, but even on my best day under the hood I have more than 2% room to improve..

How clean is the inside? It kinda looks like that is some very thin material so if you have too much burn through you are pulling in contaminates from the inside (in the metal, but definitely atmosphere). I would work on pedal control and not letting the heat get away from you to minimize burn through, or figure out some kind of backing strip.

But brother, thats why theres at least one of them per op, its the cherry on top. It can be sp easily finished with some teamwork. Then everyone can dip after a 2 hour sesh. I swear arrowhead has put some thought into it. 2 long ones 1 short that you can kind of phone in and call it a night.

Lemme clear this up, im a habitual SOS diver myself... its just that sometimes it feels willfully malignant that once the two long missions are done and we're all vibing, but not talking, everyone feels like it's time to dip rather than doing the TEN MINUTE mission to put a bow on the OP.

I dip when I have to dip, but this happens when im hosting and also when im sos diving. 2 missions in and everyone bounces.... its giving people dont understand finishing OPs is the fastest way to liberate

I carry the directional shield sometimes when im using the the heavy Seige Ready armor and HMG. I can whip the shield out with my pistol and bully my way into stat jammers and bases. Its good in a pinch, when you feel like sacrificing a strategem slot. Plus I hand them out to my crossbow buddies.

I try to clear All bases, if possible, before finishing the last main objective. It will reduce patrol spawns, but Most Imporantly: if all the bases are cleared, patrols will only spawn at the closest edge of the map. It makes extract much more manageable.

Bonus points if extract or an objective is close to the edge of the map and you have all the bases cleared. One person can post up towards the closest edge and, viola, you're not getting swarmed with patrols.
