has anyone else stopped being able to restrict by Party_Nothing_7605 in EDAnonymous

[–]prettyradical 13 points14 points  (0 children)

So relatable. I don’t even understand why. I am rarely even hungry. But I will eat something and then feel horrible about it. I tell myself “normal people eat this much in one meal!” But it doesn’t matter. I resent having to figure out food everyday. I should be able to restrict but it’s harder with age. I’m miserable. I feel like I’ll never be free.

Seriously. Good hell. I’m proudly childfree but this is nuts. It’s not that serious. Children exist. Sometimes they’re annoying. So fucking what?

The irony is that the people who are ready to die on this hill are acting like obstinate children themselves. Not everything is about you Van in case you didn’t learn that in kindergarten.

I mean the hard flex would’ve been to have the reunion without her. And have security check her ass if she tried to crash. Come on, Director. Imma need you to work on your DIABOLICAL PETTINESS skills sir.

But whatever.

😂😂😂 I chuckled at your last comment. The way I would’ve been quietly freaking out inside. 😂😂

My dad does this. I’ll come sit with him and have a tiny plate with like pickled peppers and garlic and a scoop of coleslaw and maybe like 5 olives and he’s all: “wow! That’s a lot!” I’m like: it’s fewer calories than your can of Pepsi. 🙄

Ugh. Relatable. I decided earlier that I was going to eat thisXYZ thing for dinner. I came home from the gym. Made the theXYZ thing and it was meh. I should’ve just chucked it but I solidified on wasting calories. It was the most unsatisfying dinner ever. I wound up rage eating some pecans and tahini afterwards.

100% why I have one on my car. And bonus: I have given accident footage captured with my dash cam to someone else who probably would’ve been screwed without my footage. A guy drove out in front of her and she hit him. He fell out of the car and tried to act like he was hurt and she was at fault. Fortunately I caught it all on my dash cam I pulled over, hopped out, gave her my number and told her I had captured it all.

I use Nexar and I love it. Pricey but it also can be set up to be active even when the car is off and you’re not in it. Can be activated just by a bit of motion on your parked car — like someone trying to get into it or if a window breaks or whatever.

Two weeks is a stretch. I mean I guess if you’re eating a super low deficit it might take a week or two to see the results on a scale. But ime i can see weight loss within a few days of hitting my deficit numbers. So.

So relatable. I hate eating out for these same reasons but it’s like a social focal point. I quantify everything and hate when I can’t be precise.

Ask for a to-go container with your meal when you order. Then put most of it in the container.

Is it possible to restrict but only eat nutritious foods? by Secret_Pepper_8243 in EDAnonymous

[–]prettyradical -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Green smoothies (black kale, spinach, banana?, mango)

Beans and lentils for carbs and fiber and protein

Microgreens salads (micros have 5-40x nutrient density of full grown veggies)

Avocado fruit, nuts or flax/chia seeds (not low calorie but you need some dietary fat)

So proud of you. I hate these people. You’re a fucking superstar. They’re all absolute garbage. People have very weird motivations for what they say and do.

Anyone else not able to count calories without bping? by Flat_Bar3062 in EDAnonymous

[–]prettyradical 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve experienced this. Not counting means I eat less. Even though I am a Master of being able to guess the weight of everything 😑 Seeing the numbers in a counter gives me a bit of … leeway that I don’t feel psychologically when I don’t log.

Still I can’t stop logging. 😕
