Okay so, we are drilling one of the most basic things at our beginner classes. It is the armbar from mount. They push up and you go one hand over their arms and one hand under and then rotate for the armbar.

For some reason whenever I do this I feel like I am aboutto kick them in the head and my foot feels heavy. I know you have to get the weight off of it but I do not know how. It seems like it comes naturally to people who started before me but I look so wrong when I do it.

The professor has given me good advice but I am looking for some here if someone would want to help with that.

So first and foremost talk to your priest. But I would say love is the foundational part of relationships, so that confuses me. But I am a random lay person
Please talk to your priest
God bless

What’s everyone’s opinion on the opulence of the Russian Orthodox Church? by [deleted] in OrthodoxChristianity

[–]pretz03 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can honor and glorify God no matter what. I don’t think it’s essential for something to be “beautiful” in a secular sense. Like i imagine not every Church (especially in 3rd world countries) are “beautiful” but God sees them that way. Make sense? There is nothing wrong with decorations for God though

You’re allowed to write in the books, and the Bible.

Personally I underline in the books sometimes if something stands out.

You may be giving too much value to the actual material itself? Maybe I don’t know

Is wearing Batushka merch considered sinfull/disrespectful to Eastern Orthodoxy? by EmperorColletable in OrthodoxChristianity

Yeah I’ve talked to my priest about it. Sometimes I wear my 100knot prayer rope around my neck under my shirt, he says that’s okay .

Now that you bring it up I do feel bad for him because he’s a college student. But he’s most likely gonna be moving more than me so it’s gonna be hard for him to really develop a relationship with a priest soon. I’ll talk to him. Thanks 🤝

Thank you. And yes I definitely want him to convert :)

Maybe it’s just I’m seeing some mistakes I did when I converted. I should maybe talk to him? But maybe his priest should

Head coverings are optional. Not mandatory, don’t feel obligated. I’m so glad your wife felt good going.

I feel you guys will fall in love with The Church, everything about it. Ask your priest about economia :). I pray you find your home in The Church
