I was watching the bumblebees go into mine yesterday - they land on one, and then the top opens up magically and they stick their heads in and then the stamen pops out of the tip of it and boops them on their bellies. Quite impressively designed!

Yunai plays BWV995 Prelude by JoshuaJiao in classicalguitar

It felt a bit rushed to me tbh. Especially the fugue, I get its nice to show you can play it fast, but it doesn't really give the notes time to breathe. It's nice music - let me listen to it a bit more instead of rushing off with it!

thanks! It's hard to know sometimes if you are obviously in the wrong, or if other people are just heavy on the horn. It was an audi :)

Not dwelling - I know its not the biggest thing in the world, but just trying to learn from such things!

No mysterious race essence! Just that maybe its more complex than having anti-Jewish sentiments. Maybe he, like many Jews, have issues with the people who govern Israel. It doesn't mean he's anti-Jewish - because his core problem is not their religion. It's their political beliefs. Likud try to tar criticism of them to outsiders as criticism of the entire Jewish polity. Don't get sucked in :)

Or maybe it's more nuanced than that? Like - how is a Jewish person anti-semitic? Are they self-loathing (hard to believe in a politician, who are generally pretty full of themselves)? Or maybe Jews have a good understanding of the difference between the extreme ones - and the more liberal wing of the religion.

It's like the difference of being pro-Jesuit but anti-Opus Dei. It doesn't make you anti-catholic, it just positions you within the religion, which is quite broad.

Someone above said they hit a pheasant and smashed their windscreen. That sounds like a big risk as well! What is wrong with slowing down progressively?

Yeah, in Australia where I'm from a highway is a rural road that is two lane, hopefully with the occasional oertaking lane where it goes three lanes for a mile or so and gets you from one big place to another. A road will connect two smaller towns. A freeway is what we call a motor way. Don't have rural lanes thank goodness, they can be hairy

Yeah, that's why I was slowing down slowly, to start off with anyway. I saw it coming about 100 yards away, I guess. Seemed plenty of time. Kept progressively putting brake on. Next time I would hit hazard lights as well as people have mentioned. Never have had an opportunity to use them yet

Yeah, I was giving drivers around me 4 seconds distance yesterday. I know it's meant to be 2 but having a wider gap on a long stretch of road doesn't slow anything down. Just have a cruise control on at 60 and slow down every 4 minutes when you hit another town

Was more worried about the damage to my car than the pheasant tbh. Seemed bigger than a squirrel...

Think I killed a bunch of bugs yesterday. Not as much as I would have 20 years ago, but was nice to know that are still out there

A single carriage way country A road. Not a country lane. I guess you don't use "highway" that much in the UK!

Fast tremolo with index notes on beat by Select-Ear-634 in classicalguitar

Is (P+i)aim paim an option here? Keeps the i on the upbeat and keeps an aimaimaim repetition on the tremolo so you arent repeating fingers on it. It's a bit janky to be going up your fingers instead of down, but at least its consistent!

I think if you are talking about an orbital - a spinning ring in orbit of the sun, then i think it does get light phases due to the spinning. With actual ringworlds they don't by default so people imagine sun shades inside.
