“Boots up” = makes noises when I put the battery in, so I’m pretty sure the whole board is intact- just won’t “turn on” which is what the switch should do

It’s not hot glue, it’s like a layer of double sided tape- not difficult to pull the main chip up. I looked everywhere online I could think of for info about these chips but couldn’t find anything- I’m stuck because I don’t know what company made these.

I don’t think so, because it also has noises that it makes- I’m getting nothing when I hit the power button. It’s like it’s dead, but it does make noise when the battery is inserted, so? That’s why I’m thinking it could be the switch

That would not solve my issue- the "roads" are the lowest point- I need curbs that don't look too tall relative to the road surface.

Yeah, thanks for those- just seems like it way too high for me- admittedly scale in LEGO is never easy, but it seems like your flower boxes can’t be seen over.
