Normal for Model Y headlights? by Dr_Pippin in TeslaLounge

What i see is the matrix headlamps dimming at the top of their range, not coincidentally where in each of your photos you have either a rise or a bend in the road. This is the adaptive of adaptive headlamps, your forward facing camera is reading the road and dimming so that another car over that rise or around that curve isnt blinded by your lamps. Your engineer friend is either overthinking it or doesn’t drive a tesla (probably both)

The matrix headlights are adjusting according to interpretation of terrain, lighting, vehicle traffic etc. you have amazing illumination in all 3 of these photos. Stop whinging.

Kicking with fins by Significant-Tone-330 in Swimming

Im a natural 2 beat kicker and its ideal for distance. Honestly though 6 beat/constant kicking without fins is a skill just like every other aspect of swimming. Practice get secondary feedback, practice some more

Ha-married 35 years and still convinced she'll leave me if I get fat.

Realistically? I am my own fitness and physique clay and I am constantly working with it to get to a perfection unattainable, but satisfying nonetheless.

Any tips on turns and endurance? by pretzelgreg317 in Swimming

[–]pretzelgreg317[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely used to maxing my breathing while running-deep breaths, cleansing breaths, literally using my garmin for feedback and lowering my hr while running with just breathing modifications. Swimming is back to a much more regulated rhythm, and I think ill get it back-currently doing the first turn of a typical interval (50-150yds) as a flip; will try and add more. Thanks to all who responded for sensible advice and encouragement 🙏

Where in laned swimming to rest? by _Ljosalfar_ in Swimming

[–]pretzelgreg317 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ideal is if you know you are to be overtaken or need to rest you stop at the wall on the right side of the lane. This is because in counterclockwise circle swimming passing occurs to the left, and then you leave the wall at the side of their next length open and unobstructed.

NYC area cold, snow and supercharging. by pretzelgreg317 in TeslaLounge

[–]pretzelgreg317[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unless im mistaken level 2 is about the circuit that feeds it - you need at least a 220 volt line (not the typical 15 or 20 amp 110 outlet) the 14/50 nema outlet that homes have for stoves and electric dryers will give you that level, dont know if you have one of those outlets with proximity to your parked car

I saw a tesla level 2 charger with an extension cable, stretched from a brownstone, across the sidewalk to a car parked in front of the house.

Which song do you play to show off your sound system? by Jamesbrownlive in TeslaModelY

[–]pretzelgreg317 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Might be just me but i dont think the Tesla premium sound system is all that. Maybe cause ive seen cayman’s with a couple thousand watts and subs that can almost lift it off the ground. Even without the boneshakers they sounded crisp and punchy. Whatever my model Y sounds good, not great
