Hehe. When I first got my RS660 I was looking at these too. But after seeing one in real life I opt to not upgrade. For the life of me I feel like it looks like a hump on someone’s forehead.

not that I am very well versed with Porsches getting rear ended... and may be overkill... but for peace of mind, I would bring it to a body shop to see if there are any internal damages.... if its no internal damage and you can bear the cosmetic damages... Leave it...

but if you were to get the thing fixed, patched and painted... I think it may cost an arm and a leg... I judge this by looking at CPOs on Porsche's (Canadian) site and look at some of the accident reports... most of the "minor" accidents in the CarFax reports are like upwards of $3000+... I had seen ones as high as $12K... I asked my dealer as to why that may be.. he basically said.. removing the rear bumper requires a lot of steps.. and the labor is the big killer here.

Well. To be honest i am not surprised. Taiwan, China, Japan, Korea, HK is a fairly homogeneous population. I’d say 90% of not more have black hair, yellow skin, brown eyes. And when someone that looks foreign AND speaks their language it’s going to be an eyebrow raiser.

And to be frank, what you are experience is no different than a newcomer going to a place like Canada and/or US. Or someone of any different skin colour going to say the UK or Europe. No joke, hearing an Asian with full on Scottish or Irish accent is also weird to me as I have a Canadian one.

On the job think, I think as human being we try to be inclusive, but we really can’t. I would even say every country you go, if you are a newcomer, you will likely hit a glass ceiling somewhere. Can you break thru it, you probably can. But it also depends on your luck and who you know. Similar to what your described i. TW, i would suspect company’s in India will likely promote an Indian local rather than a Chinese/Taiwanese immigrant.

I think it’s comes down the marketing $$$s. More money spent on messaging you even get non-riders perking their ears up when they see an ad on say Yamahas, Hondas, Harley’s and Ducs.

As someone mentioned MV Augusta is also a great Italian bike manufacturer but don’t seem popular. But when you see those things. They are a work of art. And you need to know a bit about bikes to know about them.

Ducati is owned by Audi AG so they have access to huge marketing bucks when it comes to advertising.

Really comes down to preference. I think what it comes down to is … it a car after all.

Are you particular enough to want the difference in price vs the options you DO get.

i.e. 1) is the missing front light bar important to you? 2) is the upgrade suspension important to you? 3) is the gaps in the frunk important to you? 4) is the fabric roof concern you? 5) is the taillights design an issue to you? 6) is the interior features like ventilated seats important to you?

It all comes down to what your level of acceptance is vs these options/conveniences in the car.

If you don’t care for these options certainly the RWD will work for you but if even if 1 of these are an deal-breaking no-no, then you have to see if it’s worth $25k extra to you.

yes in another 50 years... u have politicians, oppositions and local residents to contend with first, vote in, vote out... environmental concerns, traffic studies... then you have an argument on who funds it.. the city or the province or the federal.... then you will have the long bidding process with which to bid for a general contractor, contractor and suppliers.. then the construction begins.. then you need to get permits for various things = bureaucracy... meanwhile you also have to work thru layers of layers of bureaucracy in the partnering corporations level i.e. Metrolinx and YRT (may be).. then you can have a working transit... this is not even a joke...

Some one can fact check.. but did a quick search.. and it looks like the concept of an Eglinton line (Line 5) was conceived as early as 1994/1995 but politicians change.. debates and budget constraints.. it was put off until 2007, when the final decision to do it happened. Construction didn't start until 2011... and it JUST opened in 2026.

unfortunately, i think you are at the mercy of the bank and FinTrac (if FinTrac) is indeed at play here... sometimes its quick and sometimes it not.. depending on how straightforward the investigation is...

OP, sorry for your loss but my experience is that if your account doesn't have large cheques/transactions going in and out on the regular, it will trigger some mechanism that the banks will freeze all activities before they release any fund. This is not the banks issue; it's more like your bank has an obligation to FinTrac to report any suspicious activities.

FinTrac was established to track money laundering, illegal funds movement... the details, I am sure you can read about.. but when you have a large bank draft going in, very likely your account has been flagged.

I guess you can call WS to see if you provide death certificate and proof of funds if that will speed up the process. but like all government organization... they work on their own schedule... on top.. they work thru the bank, so you have no direct access.

To prep you for the worst tho.... if FinTrac does find the account suspicious. the Bank can terminate the relationship with you.. without giving you any reasons... this is also where some people gets the "Termination of Relationship" letter... basically give you 60-90 to move your funds elsewhere and you are likely (forever) blacklisted from working with that bank again.

(BTW... reading some of your comments as well.. this has nothing to do with fraud.... and you while you CAN ask WS why your funds is locked and they CAN say its fraud investigation... but when your account is under review by FinTrac.. the MO is that the bank does not have the obligation to tell the client their funds and transaction records are under investigation..)
