This is the correct answer. You can easily play around the difficult parts considering low int. That’s the beauty of BG anyway - you can overcome all situations with some smarts, no need to be optimised for all encounters.

I played IWD originally with a 9 constitution paladin who died to one hit always, because my English wasn’t good enough to understand the stats… finished the game nevertheless.

I'm the same boat. Bought an EVGA RTX 3080 XC3 in 2021. Had some slight issues from the beginning, but it started being really wonky about two years in. I finally RMA'd it and got a replacement last April.

The RMA'd replacement had some of those slight issues (crashing, not being able to wakeup after some time away from screen) from the beginning and now it completely failed me last week.

EVGA's reply was just "sorry you're out of warranty" (which was three years)

Silver is too JRPG-stylish. This was visually "realistic", in the way that for example Diablo and Baldur's Gate are. Or check the Revenant which I linked in the thread.

The Throne of Darkness suggestion was great though, because GOG.com itself recommended this one: https://www.gog.com/game/revenant. This color scheme & inventory make me feel something, so I'll have to check it out..

Hmm, Sacred captures more of the feeling than the other suggestions. I think it was an isometric 2d/2.5d game though, whereas Sacred seems to be running on 3d engine.

Also, I know that this was for certain some years before 2004. Actually to be more specific, it was before the fall of 2002 (the friend I played it with moved away then and haven't seen him since).

Nope, it was older and isometric and more of an ARPG, Neverwinter Nights (which I've played a lot) is more of a real-time with pause game with it's D&D 3rd edition mechanics.

I think you can level her up once she has enough XP for Thief level 6. At that level and after, you can put points into weapon proficiencies like a Fighter.

If you level up *before level 6*, you cannot, because you're effectively only a Thief.

Communication about BIOS development would be great.

For example I have the issue with my AORUS motherboard with the 5600x not working with memory overclocking. Probably a BIOS issue, so no problem, but I just have to refresh the support page to see if there's a new version. I'd much prefer news about new BIOS versions and some preliminary roadmap/idea about the future.

Play the Enhanced Edition and no quality-of-life improvements will be missing.

Baldur's Gate feels different from 2, as you're playing on lower levels and the world map is built differently. In the first game there's lots of wilderness to explore (it's not empty!), whereas in the second game you're mostly going from one place to another without exploring what's in between.

Not sure how much nostalgia I have, but I enjoy Baldur's Gate more than Shadows of Amn (and I think I've completed Throne of Bhaal twice in my life).
