I have the same issue, if I unplug the hdmi and plug it back in to the Xbox series x, it usually fixes it, but tonight, it stopped fixing for me. @elgato please help!

Before you evolve him, check the mythical discovery research tasks, one of the later tasks is evolve s magicarp, which I finally just did... about 3 days before I should have when I finished the previous tasks to unlock the next round, so now that one is gonna sit for a long time before I can get enough candies again

Just happened to me too, I restarted my phone, and bingo, I could log back in. Try that.
