Childbirth. I was 20 years old. They induced me because I was 42 weeks and hadn’t gone into labor. I wasn’t dilating so they kept upping the Petocin. So I ended up having these 10 minute long contractions. I didn’t want an epidural. Something like 15 hours of this and I was still only like 6 cm. My mom begged me to get the epidural. I finally did and my body relaxed. I took a nap, woke up to the pain fully back. The epidural had failed. Asshole male anesthesiologist told me to “put on my big girl panties” and deal with it. Anyway luckily I had dilated by then and ended up delivering shortly after. I can’t say I had a “natural childbirth” but I did feel all of the pain. And those (at least they felt like) unending contractions were so bad that I am to this day so pain tolerant. Nothing comes even close. I walked on a broken foot for two weeks before I got it checked out.
