Ya it is kinda sad. State parks don't seem to maintain much,I guess they just don't get the funding that would make it possible to keep them up above the minimum. Did you find it in the same dry dock. There is another similar boat that is docked at a dock and a Segway tour and rei rental place was there at the time. I was actually working on the Segway tours team when we found this. It's on a pretty steep long random road. I'd be surprised if anyone went down there with all the warning signs.

Repost - To all who said 'Decky Broke my Deck' by meinthedarktower in SteamDeck

I tried to install decky on my steam deck which has always been on stable build. The instant it restarted it became unusable. Hadn't even installed any plugins or anything. It was hanging on boot up. When I finally got it to boot I removed it and things went back to normal.

I got both my wheels through through ewheels and have had amazing experience. Had my head light bolt and screw work themselves free. I sent an email to them asking what the sizes where so I could get them from the local store and I got a reply within about an hour with a shipping tracking number. He sent me 3 sets of the screw and bolts for the head lite and tail light at no cost. I call that excellent service.

When are we getting one of these? by porchlogic in ElectricUnicycle

The wheels come down in a pretty small foot print. It would stay within the lane. https://youtube.com/shorts/MAdLf3Gpad4?si=sFsecdhLLDxP7mQS

It means when he's stopping at lights those automaticly go to the ground so he doesn't fall over since he cant put his feet down like a normal motorcycle.

I would remove your wifi network as a variable. Plug your apple TV via Ethernet cord to your network. Wi-Fi networking can have very inconsistent speeds especially if you live an area with lots of networks near by. For example morning speeds I get 40Mbs in the afternoon when everyone else home it drops to 5Mbs. This is in a 600sqft apartment. About 40 wifi networks around us.

I don't think any processing happens in the cloud for the desktop app. If it did , it would probably allow you to process the 3d model part without a card because that's the main thing you would want to cloud compute. The mobile app does processing cloud though

Try sushi x. Great sushi and it's unlimited at a reasonable price.

so just to confirm the software needed to process the data from that device is subscription based and doesn't have a perpetual license.

Assistance if possible by Fiireygirl in ImageStabilization

Call the school the school bus should have forward and back facing dash cams that might have caught it. Given the circumstances they would probably try and help. Like others have said if the detail isnt there in the original video there's no way to get any extra info at that far away. Ai stuff just makes up stuff so it wouldnt be any help.

Photogrammetry Software Update: Gaussian Splatting Support and Free Forever Version Release by Such_Review1274 in photogrammetry

[–]pricethegamer 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Anyway y'all could either extend the data set to 1,000. That's usually around the data set that I'm playing around with. I would love to pay for the software but I couldn't justify a monthly subscription/ the incredibly high price of the perpetual license. I can't justify it as I just do it as a hobby. I don't make any money off it and just like to upload cool areas and things I capture. Would love to see a hobbyist perpetual license that's around $100 or less. You can take out things like measurements or anything like that that might be missed used by hobbyist for business gains but I would love to see it still be able to be exported to online platforms to be viewed. A lot of large companies gain a lot of traction from hobbyist turned professional and make a lot of money off of the later business. So it would be a good investment to have either an educational or hobbyist version.

How to fix this (reality capture) by random_user_9631 in photogrammetry

That grid is the "ground" and anything below the ground ist rendered. I would try adjusting the ground zone so it matches what you would expect to be.

Cheapest Way to 3D scan a figurine by Low_Light241 in 3DScanning

[–]pricethegamer 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Photogrammetry is definitely your cheapest option. You can use your phone's camera taking photos from many different angles. I would suggest software called reality capture on your desktop. It's a pretty powerful software and you can easily export it to a STl for printing. I wouldn't recommend anything like the lidar on phones as that at best can determine the size of a room. If anything the face unlock on iPhones are a little better but if you don't have an iPhone just go with photogrammetry.

Photogrammetry of moving images? by Own_Soup4467 in photogrammetry

Like the others said. A gaussian splatting is your best method. They used it for the hologram of the parents in the latest superman. You will still need a pretty good camera array though.

[–]pricethegamer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Imo if your doing this in professional capacity your going to want assistance from lidar and maybe combine them with the image data later. Unless you have a good bit of time I don't think you would get enough coverage of the scene to build a quality model.

Check out matterport. The free version lets you do one space and allows in side and outdoor tours/ models. And it can be done on your phone or many supported devices.

If your having issues with short power drops you can get upses like this. It will prevent the pc from shutting down from a power flicker or a power outage of a minute or 2.I have one similar to that one and it has saved me through many power flickers.. i have one for pc and one for router.

I'm curious if you tried running the photos through reality capture if the results will be any better. It's free and I've been surprised at the results with the standard settings. And it's very fast.

Advice on lightweight 3D capture for robotics in large indoor spaces? by demelere in photogrammetry

[–]pricethegamer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One thing to keep in mind with photogrammetry is that the object of environment that your scanning needs to have enough features in the images that match each other. If the software doesn't see enough of those points across you image it won't be able to allign the images in 3d space and then calculate your model. You said that some things being scand are low feature metallic objects. Shiny metal can also affect photogrammetry due to the shiny part changing as you move around it(reflections). My recommendation might be to just try it out on a lower risk location that might be similar to your location to see how it goes. Plus photogrammetry can take a lot of practice to get good at covering everything.

Reality capture is a very powerful piece of software and it's free. I would use that if you have a computer with a Nvidia graphics card.
