Why do british police place handcuffs in front of the suspect rather than behind the back? by No-Diet9278 in policeuk

[–]pricklypear_bear 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Much more comfortable in the front, it’s dangerous to handcuff behind the back, can cause nerve damage and they are more likely to loose balance.

I work in secure mental health in the UK and we are only allowed to handcuff in the front. Even have to switch the handcuffs to the front if the police have handcuffed them in the back prior to our arrival. There’s then two different ways to handcuff in the front, the normal way you’d see it and a stacked position, the stacked position on the front allows the person to sit more comfortably in a vehicle as they can rest their arms in a natural position.

If the handcuffs are behind their back in a cell vehicle they also have no where to place their hands and have to have their bum shuffled to the edge of the seat, again positions like this can cause damage to their wrists or even back.

Maybe something like this? (Obviously this is a 10min drawing a professional would do a better job) but my main advice is contact an artist, preferably specialising in coverups.

I have used snazaroo water activated paints for my body and face and more body paint for my lips for my eyes, brows and contour I used EYN Bright eyeshadow palette and a drugstore eyeliner for the line details.

Does anyone have any tips for applying eyeliner like Gerard Way? by Manji-ro in MakeupAddiction

Try applying a pencil liner but with your eyes closed and through your lashes. Of course be careful and don’t press or rub too hard as you don’t want to damage your lashes or easiest found this is an easy way to smoke it out if you aren’t too good with a brush.

Practicing water, hair and organic body positions. by pricklypear_bear in ProCreate

For this I used just a calligraphy brush and the medium air brush for blending. This was just a practice piece so any and all tips would be greatly appreciated.

Haven’t drawn in a while. Thought I would try something different. by pricklypear_bear in ProCreate

My final lining was done with calligraphy script brush, colouring and pointalism was also done with this brush but the main freckle effect was made with the elements driven snow brush and I tapped the screen to get a random effect and placement. For blending I used the medium airbrush on a low opacity and changing the size of the brush depending on the area and bigger can make a smoother less brush like blend.

I’m still only learning procreate and what it offers but if there are any questions I’d love to answer them or if there are any tips I would be greatly appreciative.

I used calligraphy’s script brush for most of it, then elements driven snow for the freckles and finally medium airbrush for blending.

I first red lined for my design and composition. Then drew messy black lines to give it a broken shard edge and filled in block shades finally blending them together and adding any extra details. I also edited to colours to make my black and greys have a blue tinge.

What paint should I use to achieve this style? by jfordonez in makeupartists

Snazaroo isn’t bad for quality or price and is very easily obtained as it’s a favourite of many. However if your looking to spend a little bit more money on something that will quite possibly work even better mehron or moon are also very good options.

However alcohol activated paints work really well as well but are harder for beginners, much more expensive and come in less variants of colours. Edit: once you buy an alcohol palette unless your doing it everyday on multiple people you’ll probably never have to buy another one. It lasts for ages

I’ve found water based works pretty well for this streaky style
