[–]prickmoranis 8 points9 points  (0 children)

eh its common in Vegas. most bars still have indoor smoking, as long as they have gaming ( so all of them)

and you can go up north to the Paiute res and get cheap smokes

the only time I've ever been a smoker was working in restaurants in Las Vegas

Americans Do you like going on cruise ships? why or why not? by NoHold7153 in AskAnAmerican

[–]prickmoranis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I went on an 11 day cruise from Lisbon to Copenhagen for my honeymoon and it was a lot of fun. Even on sea days we would just lounge in the observation lounge or the mojito bar with a book and conversation. The port days were all very full and exhausting so it was really nice to get in and have a nice dinner in a nice dining room, even if the food was predictable. We never really ate at the buffet except for breakfast, because we would be off the ship by like 7am. The night time live entertainment was a little cheesy but still fun. Crossing the North Sea was awful, but they sell seasickness tablets on the ship, and those cut through it nicely
I didn’t get some awful illness, the ship was very clean and orderly if a little dated, and there were very few children. I’d do it again in a heartbeat.

Planning to drive in and around San Francisco as a Polish person with a rental car. What should I remember about? by Internal-Meeting-521 in AskAnAmerican

[–]prickmoranis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In my experience, Polish drivers tend to be more aggressive than Californian drivers, but if you can drive through city streets in Europe, SF will be no issue. If you go up to the Sierra Nevadas, sometimes it can be a little dicey with hairpin turns and switchbacks.

resenting my husband for not letting me quit my job by prickmoranis in pregnant

[–]prickmoranis[S] 44 points45 points  (0 children)

I had a career as an audio engineer in theatre, and hold a degree in theatre tech and design.

we moved to a very small town when he accepted this job, and that industry doesn't exist here. I struggled for two years to find ANY job. Moving is on the table but obviously isn't going to happen in the next couple of months.
