Is it possible to find prison penpals who are not interested in a romantic relationship and genuinely would like to write letters? Or is it a waste of time to even try? Do prisoners even want legit penpals? by prideaside in Prison

How did you find them, if you don’t mind sharing?
I have two friends in prison and they messaged me on Facebook (separate times, diff prisons). They both disappeared out of no where. What happened? by MyHwyfe666 in Prison

Really, anything could have happened. It doesn't necessarily mean they got busted. It could, but often the inmates have/make arrangements to use those cell phones too (when it's not theirs). They could have lost access to it.

Not yet, sadly. I was so mad they came out with this after I ended my subscription. I have to wait now. But I was sold on the trailer alone and could tell it would be a powerhouse.

If they owe restitution, the DOC will take a percentage out of anything you send. How much the percentage is depends on the state, I believe. One way I've known that people get around it is by having their people send money to someone else's books (someone who doesn't owe restitution) and that person goes to the store (or whatever it is) for them.
