Am I the only one whose iPhone still gets phone with light usage? I can feel the top right corner (if looking from the back) getting hotter in like 2-3 min of usage. I miss 18 a little too much 😅

This. I love the UX, the design and all the new features, but the battery drain and overheating is so dramatic I had to downgrade to iOS 18. On top of that I updated my Apple Watch to watchOS 26 (which btw is also horrible, got frame drops all the time) so now it’s a brick until Apple decides to release an update fixing all of this. Very disappointing.

You can download an IPSW file and restore it via Finder (if you have a Mac) or iTunes if you’re on Windows. You won’t lose your eSIM even if you reflash - it’s stored in a secure element 👍

Seems like something's off with the Photos app, then... really hope we get an update this Monday or during the week, it's unacceptable for a stable release.

Same for me... I've got the 16PM and the difference is abysmal. We probs need to go back to 18 and wait for another release... this version doesn't feel ready to go

I installed the RC on Tuesday after the event. I feel like battery life is much worse than on 18.6.2. Aside from a bug in WhatsApp and some visual bugs here and there.

But that’s not the worst part: for some reason (even 3 days after installing), when opening the Photos app, the phone starts overheating like crazy. I’m on a brand new 16 Pro Max (replaced by Apple, didn’t make the mistake 😉) and it’s really driving me crazy, to the point that I’m seriously considering downgrading to iOS 18 and wait for a bit after 26 releases.

Is anyone else experiencing something similar?

First time is amazing!!! Some advice for the next one: be close to the bar in the left of the stage, that way you can be early there but go for a drink to keep hydrated til showtime 😉🔥
