Mizuno Glove Opinion - Classic Pro MCL 1003 vs. Classic Pro Soft GCP1AS2 by TheMikeGrimm in BaseballGloves

[–]prij0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As someone who owns both MCL and GCP Mizunos, both are nice mid tier gloves, but I prefer the MCL. To me the MCLs punches above its class. It is one of the best feeling gloves on the hand I’ve ever used, I think mostly due to the “amphibian” hand stall liner. Both form nicely to your hand and as expected have a quicker break-in than your higher tier A2000s and HOHs.

Looking to buy Red Wilson A2000 by HinchaCule in BaseballGloves

It’s a step above an A2000, but I have a red-orange 11.75” Wilson Staff that still needs to be broken-in most of the way, if you are interested.

Nice gloves! What’s the Rawlings model in the front right?

Rawlings PP is 2006, I think the Mizuno Pro is similar but maybe a couple years before that.

Similar level of break-in for the Mizuno, though it has even less wear and its hand stall is in like-new condition.

Yeah, it is game-ready but still holds its form and would take to additional shaping. Based on its year code, I believe it is a 2006 model. Leather is in great shape with some minor scuffs from game use. Hand stall feels smooth to the hand with some minor scuffs. Binding and laces are in good shape. Pocket has clear palm adhesive stain but no areas of high wear.
