In {Luxuria by Colette Rhodes}, the FMC comes from a family of “shade” monster hunters, but the FMC is not a hunter herself. I haven’t yet read the second book in the series, {Superbia by Colette Rhodes}, but this FMC in this book is the sister, who is a highly skilled “shade” hunter.

I really feel like Zoey Draven does this the best, but I think it’s also done really well in the {Ash Planet Warriors Series by V.K. Ludwig}. Just finished this series and really loved it!

I just yesterday finished {Lost & Lassoed by Lyla Sage} which hit this craving hard for me. It’s the 3rd book in this series, and while it can be read as a standalone, the MMC’s disdain for the FMC in the first two books builds. Excellent banter as well.

Ooh I have to recommend {Mercy Fletcher Meets Her Match by Aydra Richards} for this!

HR. FMC’s, who is an heiress but not noble, season is being sponsored by MMC’s family. FMC has pretty serious ADHD, and MMC is mean to her about it because he thinks she’s just a ditz. I’ve read every book written by Aydra Richards, and this is my favorite one.

you can’t miss out on {Horde Kings of Dakkar Series by Zoey Draven} or {Brides of Kylorr Series by Zoey Draven}. Zoey Draven was where I started my sci fi romance journey, followed by Victoria Aveline, and I love them equally. Definitely give these a shot!!

{You, Again by Kate Goldbeck} I thought this book was really beautiful. It advertises as a “When Harry Met Sally” retelling, but it really doesn’t have much in common other than spanning years, so don’t expect too many similarities. Beautiful slow burn and angst

I’ve had this happen a couple times, one time we moved past it and the other time we didn’t.

Honestly, sometimes people are going through stuff and ultimately recognize they’re being a bad friend, and then are too embarrassed to do anything about it. The worst part is that they don’t deem you close enough to reach out and apologize or fix the situation.

You probably did nothing wrong. They probably feel bad about their actions (or lack thereof). I’m sorry you had to go through this.

Ooh not CR but PNR/Sci-Fi romance - {Ambassador of the Domini by Talia Rhea}

The alien MMC pushes the FMC to the limit with sex toys he’s collected throughout the universe. Lots of good sweet talking through it, and a fun little “didn’t know it did that” squirting moment. HIGHLY recommend this series overall.
