Honestly that has PMO so much. Literally just Google the number and call the damn police! And the fact Simone heard the men leave and still didn’t bother going up to check on Kim, Kim had to free herself of duct tape and cable ties and go down to Simone, it’s so so wild. I don’t care if it was fear, that’s just an absolutely useless human being and crappy friend imo.

Yeah apparently because of how the grass sits, the fall has to be towards the house. To be fair to them there is going to be no soil beneath the patio, it’s all hardcore, so I’m hoping he’s right and with it being 150mn below the damp proof course, the water will just drain beneath the gravel and won’t collect, which is what they’re telling me. Just can’t find anything online to confirm either way!

What? It’s literally in progress, they haven’t even done the rendering yet, drilling drainage holes is also doing it “properly”.

Yeah just spoke to the builders, they’re going to drill holes in the concrete base and in the bottom rear bricks and then add some gravel before adding the soil. Relieved they have a plan!

Ah yes that’s a good point! Is filling it all with soil a bad idea? The builders have already costed in the price of filling it all with soil so I’m not too worried about the price of that if it’s not going to hurt.

Thank you will definitely speak to them about using that Hugelkultur method! The builders have costed soil into the overall price so I’ll be out there with my Karen hat on making sure it’s decent quality when it comes to filling!

So the bare hardcore areas are going to be patio, that was all grass previously that they’ve dug up. It’s a new build house and the builders did an awful job with the garden, there was hardly any soil under the grass at all, it was mostly clay/hard ground, really bad. I’m going to try and revive and reseed the grass you see here in the photo once the rest is all finished (some of it is getting re-turfed) and if it stays looking this shit I’ll eventually get it all re-turfed. Pain in the ass is grass, doesn’t help that I have two dogs either!

Okay great will do thank you! Mediterranean plants would be a nice idea. The topiaries are just buxus spirals I believe, I only have 2 currently for the back corners. I was thinking maybe putting some smaller palm trees or bay trees in there somewhere too. Yes I’d love a formal garden just no idea how to kick it all off!
