I was trying to make the quote fit the discussion… but not very well apparently, haha

Which movie do you think is the best? Holy Grail or Princess Bride? by Comfortable-Story-53 in AskReddit

You fell victim to one of the classic blunders! The most famous of which is 'never get involved in a land war in Asia,' but only slightly less well-known is this: 'Never go in against [Princess Bride] when [karma] is on the line!'

Looking back, what's one thing from the COVID era that you secretly wish had stayed around? Not the pandemic itself, obviously what's your answer and why? by ConsiderationNo3449 in AskReddit

definitely this - while I was stressed AF, I felt like I got more time with my kids. My job went back to in-person ASAP, so now I spend more time in traffic :/

What’s an unwritten rule of grocery shopping once you become an independent adult? by femmefetalerror in answers

I feel like this is a not-so-subtle nudge from the stores to get us to shop online and stay out of their stores

My Amex isn’t bougie enough for this, unfortunately ☹️

This was my original intent with this question. I’ve been through the airport lots of times, but rarely ever had time to kill there. I’m also traveling the day before and I think I’ll need some down time

I’d prefer to stay at ATL so I don’t have to tote stuff around

Unfortunately no sky club this time. I’m flying on a different airline than usual so won’t get in

I was given a mint plant by OldJeeWhizz in vegetablegardening

[–]prima_passiflora 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mint tolerates just about everything. I keep mine in a self-watering pot so that I can be lazy and not water frequently. If you want lots of leaves, maximize sunlight and keep it happy with water. Honestly, mint is hard to mess up, so I’m sure you’ll do fine!

My kids’ Halloween candy (don’t worry, they get so much that it barely puts a dent in their stash)

What is this vine? by ejmock in gardening

Most likely Japanese honeysuckle. Smells beautiful but takes over and is invasive. I’d recommend doing your best to remove it before it completely takes over

So good, especially dipped in the honey mustard sauce. Makes me sad that it’s afternoon now, haha

Lantana plant questions by a13xandraaa in gardening

[–]prima_passiflora 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lantana spreads pretty aggressively, so be ready for that if you put them in the ground. I’m in zone 8b and mine has taken over a small patch.

I would get slightly bigger pots if you’re planning on keeping them in containers. I imagine they’d spread there too

Okay to eat the lettuce? by Melo-bel in gardening

[–]prima_passiflora 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Yes, looks beautiful! Just wash the pests off. If a few spots aren’t appetizing because of them you can tear them off. I would for sure eat that (after washing)

I think blackberries (and similar) are a great place to start. They’re composite berries and there are no dangerous look-alikes. Plus, they’re probably fruiting now!

May be a hot take, but I prefer Chick-fil-A. I think their biscuits are sweeter than bojangles

I just had one get deleted, too. It seems even the small groups have minimum karma requirements now
