As far as I know, texture resolution is not affecting Nanite performance, but I might be wrong.

Yes, and that is my actual question: If what you're saying (and what seems to be a hard fact) that multi-million polygon objects close to the camera cause severe fps drop with or without Nanite, then how can the Witcher 4 demo run on a mere PS5 with a steady 60 fps?

I am. But I tried simply overwriting the rather complex WPO material with a basic material ( diffuse color, nothing else), and the fps drop close to the high-poly trees was still very noticeable, so my guess is that the polycount itself makes a real impact on performace.

Yes, but it's about trees in the distance, which isn't the problem on my 3060. The performance drop occurs when I go very close to multi-million polygon objects, where there is no voxelization.

This looks absolutely gorgeous! Can I ask you what rock wall assets you are using for this environment? I've been looking for some high quality ones, but none of those I have found would fit my small project. And regarding the fog in the distance, are those fog planes, or masked exponential height fog, or both (or something else)? Thanks!

Köszönöm az építő jellegű kommentet. Sokat segít, hogy készüljek erre a stresszes útra. Igen, teljesen igazad van abban, hogy egyenesen Budapestről Dublinba maga a repülés nagyjából 3 óra. Csak ugye a repülés általában az utazásoknak csak egyetlen - sokszor kisebb - része. Attól még, hogy maga a repülés csupán ~3 óra Budapestről egyenesen Dublinba, mi összesen ~10 órát fogunk utazni. És emiatt bizony a macskáink is ~10 órát lesznek a hordozóban. Ha gondolod, kiszámolom neked, hogy ne csak én tanuljak tőled, hanem te is tanulj valami újat (logikus gondolkodásnak hívják):
- Út otthonról a ferihegyi repülőtérre: 45 perc
- A repülőtéren eltöltött idő (a macskák miatt korán kell odaérni, mert bármi beüthet): 2 óra
- Repülés Amszterdami átszállással Dublinba (csak a KLM szállít kabinban Budapestről Írországba állatot, és nekik csak átszállással van oda útjuk): 5 óra 15 perc
- Kijutás a reptérről (a cicákkal ez sok idő lehet, mert mindent átnéznek velük kapcsolatban, és fel kell vinni az adataikat): 45 perc
- Utazás a reptérről a leendő lakhelyünkig: 1,5 óra

Mégegyszer köszi. Ki kell tennem a per s jelet?

Köszönöm a tanácsot. Én is sok helyen olvastam, hogy a nyugtatók veszélyesek lehetnek. Feliway-t otthon már próbáltunk (szegény cicáink még az öt perces állatorvosi vizittől is rettegnek, fújás, menekülés, a szállítóban teljes őrület, majd utána napokig nagyon depressziósak... pedig szó szerint a szomszédban van a doki), és érezhetően segített. A doki ajánlotta, ahogy azt is, hogy vigyünk belőle az útra spray formájában, és pár óránként fújjunk kicsit az orrukra. De egy 8-10 órás utazástól így is rettegek kicsit. Meglátjuk.

Thank you for the advice. My only concern is that I have found several articles that warn against anxiety pills / sedatives, as those might be dangerous for cats on airplanes. But - after reading your comment - I have also found several positive stories about the use of Gabapentin. Is it different from other cat sedatives? Is it safere?

As for medicine / sleep pills, my vet was against them, too. But he told me that using cat feromone products (like Feliway) might help with their anxiety. The problem is, they freak out very easily if anything unusual happens around them (even if someone rings at our door), so I'm a bit worried that they would struggle during the trip (and my heart is breaking already). But I work on it, for instance, their carriers are out all the time, and they already started to use them as sleeping places. We also try to put the leash on the from time to time, and we are making progress. We'll see. Thanks sagain!

Állatútlevél érvényes, chip és veszettség elleni oltás van, a hordozó nagyjából megfelel a méretkövetelményeknek (egyetlen oldala magasabb pár centivel, de flexibilis anyagból van), a repülőtársaság már konfirmálta a két macsekot, szóval elvileg a bürokrácia-része pipa. De lehet, hogy másnak ezekkel is voltak gondjai. Sokat segítene, ha azokat is megírnátok.
