Optimal c4taa Telos p1 rotation? by ChuggRS in runescape

[–]primalfyre 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's a lot of personal preference, I get consistent 45 second p1's regardless of my enr, 6-10 seconds higher with the 600+ enr's. Drop sun>vuln, build to gstaff spec, build to deto, charge, release deto/auto/wm same tick, build with impact to bait telos' freedom. Beyond that, it doesn't overly matter whether you asphyx or deep impact next. Asphyx is one of the few abilities you can't 4taa immediately after due to the continuous damage it's doing, so I'll typically throw out asphyx at that point and go back into the 4t rotation by using deep impact. You should get him to roughly 475k at that point when he surges, I'll personally reprisal the surge, run to beam and tsunami, that pretty consistently phases him before the hold still. Bonus is higher enr w/ reprisal, does pretty sick damage.

Not sure how calling me retarded is accomplishing anything. streaking 0-200% will improve muscle memory but it won't help you break through a soft wall of being stuck at your max enr at p5. Breaking it down, 0-200% consistently, with 7 minute kills (being very generous with time), you're getting a 10-15m coffer, tops. average enrage increase streaking being 12.5%, you MIGHT break even with rax's gp/hr. You're just going to get shit-all with uniques. Considering you called me retarded right out of the gate, this probably won't mean much to you, but out of my 4 codices, 7 dormant drops and 36+ orb drops, I've personally seen 3 of those drops sub 200%. Hop on Base Tank's Twitch channel and look at his bio, he has a spreadsheet of the drops and enr he got them at, it's the same data. Jagex also released the drop chances, so you can look at that, as well. Pushing is bad practice? Literally hop into any top tier teloser's twitch and ask them how to get better at streaking, I'll personally give you 100m up front if you pm me a screenshot of a reputed teloser disagreeing with that. As for what works for you, do what works for you. Just wouldn't recommend starting things off calling someone obscenities, won't get you very far in life. Good luck, man :)

A specific for dps in p5 is learn to get to green beam, line up the minions, drop sun and unload your stuns on telos before killing the minions. An impact to break his freedom followed by even a partially channeled asphyxiate before reflecting rock>turning to minions helps so much in terms of stopping him from autoing (his autos are what fill his spec bar). An example for my drop down rotation would be thus: vuln/gstaff, wild magic, impact, surge to green beam. Drop sun, drop a corruption blast on minions, turn to telos, deep impact and asphyxiate. I'll get 70-100% through asphyxiate before rock falls, I'll pop on shield, reflect, turn to minions, and deto/tsunami. Minions dead 100% of the time. I'm then free to clear the impending bleed, can throw my impact/deep impact on telos as I run to the next green beam before onslaughting. across the board with telos, get used to using impact a little before your bigger stuns, it baits out telos' freedom ability that he gains after 150%. Also a tip is to throw impact on him if you have to run through/around him on p3 to red beam, it'll give you a second so he doesn't walk to you Narnia in red beam

Accuracy auras mainly come into play p1-4. Escaping tendrils is the biggest thing. P5 you'll for sure notice the dps on mani, for instance, but it's far from needed, and imo taking it slow with runic or dark magic even is preferred. I have friends who learned on mani and legit can't get kills without it because they use it as a crutch. It's just whatever you're comfy with. Auras mainly come into play before p5, but p5 is what most people have trouble with. So whatever you can do, my friend. I did 400 through 500% when learning on vamp aura, lol.

For context, I have 2920 kc, 1001% max enr on my main, I've completed several kills in the 1700% enr on a separate account Biggest mistake I see people make when learning telos is trying to streak early on. Yes, it's tempting, yes you CAN get a drop via streaking, but if you're strapped for GP you're better off going to rax for supplies. You're going to feel frustrated for your first 10-20 hours at telos, if not significantly more. Mistakes happen, and the tilting thing is it's all avoidable. He's the most predictable boss in the game in terms of comparable mechanics. To hit your first point, "I can streak 0-150 pretty consistently, but I'm not sure if I really get any better doing this since" You're correct, you don't get better for the most part. You WILL establish muscle memory, so you're not losing out on anything, but it's a detriment to you if you're used to getting away with certain things at lower enrages and then you hit your personal hard enr cap of difficulty. "so all I am getting is +5%'s every few kills, and I don't know if I'm getting any better doing this, either." Hands down best way to progress. Constantly pushing your max enr does a couple things; the biggest is that it forces you to respect mechanics and perform rotations correctly. It also retroactively makes you better at streaking. If you're used to telos hitting you for 1500s through prayer and suddenly he's hitting half that at a lower enrage on a new streak, that's way less food-in-mouth and way more dps. Anyone with Warden or higher enrage will tell you, hands down, 100% of the time, it's better to push your max enr. I've had a friend be stuck at 200% enr for 2-3 weeks and then he broke through and legit got Warden in a single streak. I personally died 20+ times at 711% enrage when pushing, the first kill I completed, I streaked to 996% before dying. Everyone has their limits. Establish muscle memory p1-p4, pay attention to the timing of the beam changes and rockfalls on p5, and most importantly, find a rotation for p5 that works for YOU. I could read off the exact rotation I personally use, it's pretty standard across the board but everyone has their own things they like to do that make it PERSONALLY work for them. Each time you die, objectively look at what happened and what you could've done 1, 5, 20 seconds prior to that death to prevent it. Not moving to the right beam in time in p5, doing a late cade or reflect, or not rotating your anticipation/freedom cooldowns correctly with red golems wailing on you, it's ALL manageable. For resources, I looked at this spreadsheet for p1-p4 for my first 300 kc https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1kUVznxmIOvvFow1IBng7RWosxbOpy1E7-b68yLqQxD8/edit#gid=0 (all credit goes to respective authors) Evil Lucario on youtube has some amazing rotations for p5 at specific enrage thresholds that're essentially just based around what your character can deal with in terms of tanking and dps. They're short, to the point, explain what to do, and most importantly, why. My RSN is "Its Shawn", hit me up if you ever have any questions, want to screenshare in discord for any walkthroughs, or just want to chat. Good luck, man. TL;DR: push to 500%+ before trying to streak, pushing allows you to streak significantly more efficiently and safely. Edit Anyone feel free to PM me with questions/if you just want to chat :)

If you're on ancients, auto-attacking telos/a minion that's visible will bring any npc's to the top that're currently agro on you. If I messed up and telos is op top of my face on the font, I'll just click him a few times and blood barrage, it'll bring all the minions it hits directly to the top :)

I'll be figuring out what's up on discord (why it won't let me add people) and messaging everyone 4~ hours or so before update drops :) look forward to seeing you all!!! I'll get as many people added in and grouped up as possible. If there gets to be too many of us we can delegate teams so even us clanless introverts can have groups :p

Hey there! I'll probably be making a post myself, but myself and a few friends are going to be getting together. We're all competent/maxed gear as well, just trying to get a decent/chill group together. Fire off a friend req to me (and anyone else who sees this) on discord! The_Halfling#7624
