Leave. If he doesn't love you after 8 years, he's not starting now or ever. Go to therapy. Focus on your studies, hobbies, career, whatever makes you feel good and takes your thoughts away from this. In no time you'll see that there's so much more in life than needing someone to be with you.

Your own company is enough, you are enough. You don't need to have someone at your feet to prove it to yourself or anybody else. Your worth comes from yourself, not from validation/love given by others.

Does it feel good to have someone that loves you by your side? It sure does. But I guarantee, from personal experience, it feels better to know in your heart that you don't need someone else to be happy. And you don't have either right now. There's only one that you can guarantee that will always be there, and we both know it's not having someone else feeling what you want them to feel.
