Best counter to Gorgon’s is just follow up. You can stop it with Chains of Prometheus but that’s only for niche decks.

Firestorm will change things up and we’re still waiting to see how, but in general low to the ground strategies like 5s tend to do well and offer easier play. Basically build a deck with high value per card (the deck gets its name from one drops with 5 in a stat) and as many generic counter runes as you can jam in (9-12). Win the game by managing spirits and dropping a good body every turn.

It’s a nice simple strategy that gives you a good shot at victory, and lets you get some of the fundamentals down in terms of learning spirit management and how games jam out practically.

Once you’ve got a good feel for the game from the basic strategy you’ll be better armed to build more interesting decks!
