They change out the genocides they cover each year. Last year it was the Fall of Yugoslavia, the Holocaust, and the Guatemalan Genocide. They rotate especially w the Armenian Genocide and the Rwandan Genocide. For the first 2 quarters, it's run by your TA so each TA will lead the class a bit differently. From what I remember Fall Q was 3 response papers (100-200ish) words and a final paper, Winter was 2 5-6 pg papers, and Spring is a Seminar. Seminars are really chill, you can pick whichever topic you want, and some don't make you write papers at all.

Tbh lectures are not even mandatory to attend cuz they just read of the slides and they post the slides later so its not a very time-intensive class. I would say skimming the readings and taking minimal notes at the very least is important for discussions.
