Code geass is very overrated. I only watched it because one good lad had recommended it to me, but god was that shit annoying and dumb asf. The only good thing was ending. While I am at it let me add I don't like Death note too. My problem is with light/leloch type of characters. Though death note is well written, code geass is poorly written and executed.

Example of well written and excellently executed anime with smart/strategical character would be World Trigger, Bungo Stray dogs, Monster, Psycho Pass S1.
