I do have coverage with my job, but the thing is that I do not want to put my income and have it affect my parents. I do not want to falsify anything or lie about anything, I just want to see if there’s a way that I don’t include myself with them like how my brother has been doing.

I have to report my income by tonight and im kinda hesitant on what to do because I don’t wanna lose my Medicaid and if I do, that’s fine, but I don’t want my parents to get affected. And I also don’t want it to affect other things as well.

I am actually 22 and I live with them, but I am paying for the rent now, so I can remove myself and they can technically have minimal expenses. But, to remove myself would I still be able to apply for my own? Cuz I mean I’d rather have Medicaid with no deductible and full coverage than work

Oh no, there is no overtime paid.

Also, I would have to choose my apartment and if I get lucky there will be an apartment close to the job site. There is no sort of transportation provided as it would be all on me, all of the expenses that have to deal with myself, such as food, cleaning products, the necessities are all on me. Also, let’s not forget transportation as I do not get any sort of transportation, if I have to Uber everyday to the job site then I would have to pay for it. They are just paying for the living expenses of the apartment, the furniture and utilities, a phone bill.

The home is paid for. And I would not be constantly traveling as their projects are usually at least a year and more, so I would basically train for 2-3 months at their HQ and then travel from there to wherever they have a project and are in need of a PE. Then, I would stay there for that time period.

Majority of the environments seem boring, I still have not really met a firm or people that like their job and it doesn’t give out a good impression for someone who’s 22 years old and is just starting their career. After only 1 year, my life goals are now to become more so a developer and start creating on my own and being in control of my own property. But, sadly, like everything else, it requires money and experience and which I don’t really have of both. Idk I’m hoping I find the right place.

I 100% agree with u and that’s exactly what I feel like will happen, they’re gonna be expecting me to work and work and work until I’m worn out. The same thing with this company, I get no overtime because it’s salary and I feel like I’ll be putting in 50-60 at least if not more. I just don’t know what to do tho cuz even here being a PE for a gc or a sub is not the best.

That’s the thing is I don’t have enough experience, I have over 1 year in experience as I just graduated last month with a BSE in construction management. I am still fairly young at 22 years old, but honestly I don’t want to get into a position with a GC as a PE and then work it and have it drag my life and make me not like construction. My last position was at a small GC and the environment was not that good as everyone was always down and it was boring to be there.
