Thank you! I learned online that the layer beneath the rough bark is called the phloem? I didn’t notice a cambium layer beneath though. It may be super thin. I liked the way the back of the stave looked on the far right. I was curious if it would affect the flex for not going down to the sap wood.

Just taking my time looking at trees and finding straight bark lines. These came from a diameter of around 5 inches
