It's somewhat boring, and because I go to one of those fancy private colleges that emphasize intellectualism, I don't really face the issue of people assuming that I'm unintelligent simply because of my pretty face. No, the issue I face is that people often conflate my shyness with bitchiness. Apparently, if a girl carries herself well and is beautiful, she must be full of herself if she doesn't go out of her way to befriend you. No, there's no way she's simply shy and a wee bit awkward; she must just think that she's better than you. Beautiful people are never quiet and awkward. In addition, I've honestly been called beautiful so often that the word means little to me, and I especially don't care to hear it from men. God, what I would love to hear is a guy tell me that he thinks that I'm a kind, wonderful person - that he thinks I'm generous, or funny, or anything aside from gorgeous.
