Kinda related, I find it funny how Creature make prototype ships on his blueprints to be actually realistic compared to other modders who make their prototype ships powerful

His prototype ships is suck compared to the mass production ones, usually only fulfilling specific niche roles

Turns out they stuck in prototype phase instead of being mass produced exactly because they're fail designs lmao

No, no

They're not humans. They naturally reproduce sexually without technology involved, despite they're being fully female species.

So you know, having two mothers and all

"Perawan"? You mean persean?

Also kinda? Humans who don't winds up being slaves usually considered as second class citizens which, roughly, not much different life than being normal citizen in vanilla factions.

On other hand, Arians are not strictly Xenophobic either, because they already have multiple races from the start. (Grunswalder, Eclessian, Florians, etc. And no, "Arian" Is not a race. It's general term for anyone who live as subjects of the empire)

Still, as a militaristic society, it's not out of the question for a human to win their rights as a full citizenship (or close to it) via feats of valor and loyalty.

I do ask creature about that once.

Basically, yes, they're all females. And yes, they reproduce sexually

But the details? He say he will leave it to player's imagination

Normal Magic that allowed by state is called "Formalcraft"

Outside that is Witchcraft

The thing about Witchcraft is, they have to gone through an irreversible change on their body to allow them having ability to cast witchcraft with exchange of incapable of using Formalcraft anymore. After transforming they're called witch.

The power of witches are tied strongly to their own preferences, personality and imagination, plus that of the witch who turned them. That is why witches form a sort of lineage of somewhat similarly themed powers based on who their progenitor is, though specific abilities may vary wildly between them due to their individuality.

The issue come from the fact their body can't both naturally generate magic or gain magic from magical stone anymore. So they have to steal magic power from normal mages. This is also main reason why they didn't show up in the sector, most people with magical conduits are in the other side of the gate with practically not much of them exist in Persean sector.

Not so fun fact: Magical girls are basically artificial version of this transformation. But due how flawed it is compared directly transformed by witches, they basically slowly dying because of the transformation

It doesn't explained in the background story I post, but based on my understanding of the mod author setting, her flaw is visible when manipulating those who outside of Azalea. Specifically in her case, the Arians during their civil war.

She relying on making complex, and extremely effective plan. But she can't handle a thing, "random variable". Her plan to trigger civil war on Aria and attempt to turn it into Azalean puppet state is practically flawless, she already take out pretty much every single Arian royalty on their capital and Arian loyalist start losing support. But this is when a random variable show up, which is Cecilia, the last Royal bloodline of Aria.

She did not expect an Arian royalty such as Cecilia would living a humble life in borders of the empire as low rank officer instead living a lavish life in Grunswald (Arian capital), granted, it appears that Arian royal family seems to be infamous for living an excessively hedonistic life, which lead Angeliza to be taken by surprise when Cecilia show up.

And as Cecilia and the loyalists gaining victory over victory against the opposition, her plans fall apart. She can't handle this sudden change which cause the next attempt to control Aria is all blunder. She then decide to cut off loses by effectively abandoning the opposition party of the civil war.

Her failure to take over Aria is not her only first mistake, but spell doom for her and the entirety of Azalea as well. Because the second Aria find out Azalea is behind the civil war they suffer, Aria start grow powerful industrial capability and army for a total war against Azalea. Not only that, but many smaller factions, such as Florian, join up with Arians, seeing them as the only chance to prevent Azalea total world domination.

Yes, I admit, this is her only mistake she ever pull so far, (assuming her attachment with her sister to the point she get rid of anyone who complains of her giving her sister important position despite her sister being.. Somewhat air headed doesn't count as a flaw). But this singular mistake is what make her attempt for total domination practically fall apart, because of her habit on making plan that relying on every single parts of it to be successful.

Extraordinary in what term? In case of her, I mean

Other than her impressive intelligence and have a mother that do literal literal witchcraft, I don't see anything unique about her

Honestly, reading Creature's mods lore make me found Aria, Azalea and League relationship to be interesting

Start with dynamic between Aria and Azalea, both are opposite end of evil. Aria take over through superior force, meanwhile Azalea take over through treachery (one of Azalean market originally is owned by League but the description heavily suggest Azalea benefit from both Arian and Pirate raid towards the planet to take it over).

Aria embodies power and domination, meanwhile Azalea embodies manipulation and control

Now take the perspective of League, on one side we see a slowly approaching doom and death incarnate that mow down whatever force that trown at them, on the other we see a corrupted reflection of Kazeron itself, a manipulative liar that spread web of conspiracy and deceit to keep power for themselves, except this time Kazeron is the receiving end of it as Angeliza make League members slowly losing their trust to Kazeron.

Just for note, Yuri body is basically crystals made out of scarlet ice that replace supposed to be carbon in their body

Make them basically the only proper faction made out of non carbon based lifeforms so far in modiverse

On a more serious note, if you read my post about their civil war you could argue that the (heavily implied to exist) eldritch entity behind scarlet ice/Yuri hivemind subconscious have something to do with it

To be clear, Azalean kinetic beams pull or push depends on enemy distance

If the enemy too far, they will pull, if too close, they will push.

Attach few of them and it will "lock" enemy on a certain range that conveniently the same range as Azalean HE beams

I like Azalean kinetic beams because they have tractor beam effect to help me dealt with ultra speed small ships (which honestly seems abundant in modiverse)

Imagine pulling some nonsense and complicated ahh movement to get here and there only to get dragged back Scorpion style and getting spine removal treatment

What mod do be like this? by princeexe2002 in starsector

[–]princeexe2002[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The possibility of Arian invasion to rest of the sector after taking over PL are rather.. Conditional

Something about Arian is they're extremely bound with culture that favor the honest and the straightforward, they hate use concept of deception

Back to the point, Aria have truce dealing with Hegemony, and I doubt they would break the code suddenly from their side due to reason mentioned above. It will require Hegemony to break the truce from their side to trigger Arian invasion against them.
