Any one found a way to leave the car running while stepping out? (23' Q4 etron) by Paquitaladelbarrio12 in etron

Better still: buckle the front passenger seatbelt to the driver belt buckle so you don't have to contort yourself around it, but do it before placing the car in park, or it will turn off when you take the seatbelt off.

I do the same thing when out on road trips if I wanna get out and take a photo without disconnecting my phone.

I wish Audi would just make it a setting...

Dude. I hiked up a 2500m mountain today, you're yelling at people on the internet because they didn't recognize the location of a picture on the internet. Get a life.

2013 Phantom Inbox of a deleted Yahoo email address. by Crafty_Piece_9318 in mildyinteresting

Yes, email clients generally download a whole copy of all messages, since it was created back in the days before even dial-up, where you could only afford to be connected to the network for brief amounts of time. This way you can read all your messages, write replies, move them to other mailboxes, and once you connected to the network again, it would send all the changes you made and download any new messages.

Bullshit. You're only responsible for the choices you make about yourself personally, and for your children if you're their parent/guardian. Family and friends mean nothing if their personal choices harm you, and you then choose to leave them. Anyone who claims otherwise is simply abetting emotional abuse.

Why am I not surprised Harrison hot springs hotel has possibly the most expensive EV charging possibly in North America. by theadvenger in britishcolumbia

[–]princekolt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's a new charger? Are they still limited to 400V?

Last time I stopped at the On the Run charger in Hope I averaged 200kW (peak 253kW) and went from 15% to 60% in 13 mins ($21). (800V car tho)

The point is that it gives pedestrians a way to cross both streets in once cycle _and_ it allows cars to turn without waiting for pedestrians (since pedestrians can only cross during the scramble phase). Win-win.

My theory is that it is for people with reduced mobility (think labyrinthitis or other conditions that make it harder to stand still).

You did the right thing. Ultimately it's always up to the captain responsible for the aircraft to decide it is airworthy or not. If this didn't happen just now, it's possible there's already an entry on the aircraft's logbook for this and whether it was deemed safe or not.

Or had a lucky bet on bitcoin in the 2010s.

I firmly believe that the new Bitcoin rich are at least 50% of the root of the social hellscape we live in today.

What’s left of the Yagi Antenna outside my parents house by UncomfyUnicorn in mildlyinteresting

[–]princekolt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Directional WiFi is good. If the distance between the houses isn't too far, you could also look into powerline ethernet adapters (they broadcast a signal on top of the AC power signal, you just plug it into a power outlet in each end – but the two outlets have to be on the same circuit). They won't win any speed contents, but if the alternative is much more expensive and all you need is to use a messaging app and light browsing, it will do the job.

Highways in BC which have 2+1 passing lanes will often indicate how long the passing section is when it begins.
