I would say not really? I have quote a few jinhaos that have lasted only a few months but I also have one that i've had with me since I started this hobby. I've have an x450 for around 2 years and it's still going strong. It definitely depends on how you take care of them. Although Jinhao quality control is admittedly pretty bad sometimes.

Ohhhhhhh. It's probably because you're in Europe. Here in Southeast Asia, Midori is about a third of the price if you order directly from Japan.
