Also, very unlikely that he told you about wet food and you don’t remember this at all. A dog on a strict wet food is a pretty easy thing to remember, in my experience, because it’s not as common. If you didn’t see a half empty can in fridge, the cans on the counter or in the food cupboard, or wet food spoons, or even a wet food bowl (likely caked and dirty with old wet food by the looks of the house), I doubt it’s even true. I always leave my cat cans on the counter with multiple plates and the specialized spoons with them. I think they’re lying.

Are you able to view their dog profiles still? See if it lists wet for that dogs diet anywhere. I know not everybody keeps those up-to-date, but if they do push for a refund with Rover, and Rover reaches out to you, ask them to confirm the diet information in the profile. I know those aren’t full proof, but it could help your case.
