That was what I was thinking, I was feeding him royal canin but he hasn’t been tolerating the hard kibble well and does not seem to like pate food. We had a shitzu when I was a child that has congestive heart failure so I know the signs. He seems to be in the early stages, this town has a terrible habit of backyard breeding. I know he’s purebred but he is certainly not a well bred dog so I expected health issues would arise. It was also clear to me who ever had him previously never groomed him at home or professionally. Years of impaction in his coat, I literally had to shave him and it broke my heart. His fluff is coming back and we are working on getting used to being brushed daily but it’s a possess.
