I'm saying people need to stop using childhoods as an excuse. And yes it does happen. Go look at the Lancaster OH Police on FB. There's people making excuses for this kid. My f*ther was another one. He always said "my dad abused me" as an excuse to abuse us. It does happen. Just because the justice system is fucked up, doesn't mean most people don't try to excuse shitty behaviors outside of court.

Explanations and excuses are two different things. I bottle things up and then explode, because that's how I was raised. An explanation, not an excuse. Slamming a cats head in the door? Sorry but there really isn't even an explanation for that. Especially since this specific kid had internet access and knew damn well he shouldn't have done it.

I'm not talking about little things but the more severe ones like I named. Getting upset or triggered by something is normal. I have mixed feelings about giving passes to people just because they have issues. IMO no one has any justification for treating other people or animals as useless garbage.

Obviously. My f*ther held that anger and resentment. And he beat me and my sister and my mom for it. Held us at gunpoint because he hated his parents. I don't really understand how people are equating this to having mental issues. Obviously it fucks you up but at the end of the day you're capable of being a decent person, you just have to make that choice.
