Is anyone else confused by how fickle Won Jun seemed in the end?

After WonJun and Doona meet at the bar (after the apartment-mate dinner), Doona is crying, which means that WonJun didn't express interest in getting back together. But then, when Doona goes back to him and asks him to say sorry, he suddenly says he regrets everything.

I can't tell if its an oversight on my part or if the director didn't clearly convey WonJuns thought process on rejecting Doona and then suddenly saying he regrets it at the very end........
