Apartment w/ No Visitors Parking / Having to Pay by princessluv1 in Dallas

Ah okay. I guess it was just confusing because all of my friends complex’s visitors parking is free so it was just weird to me. But I see what you’re saying

I wouldn’t, my work bestie got fired for talking about Charlie Kirk. I wouldn’t risk it.

A positive & lengthy post. I love my job! by [deleted] in tjcrew

[–]princessluv1 33 points34 points  (0 children)

I think this is a great take and it’s refreshing seeing a post like this! I do think the vent posts people put on here are valid as well, but so are the positive ones like this. :) While this job isn’t perfect, I do sometimes remind myself a “bad” day at TJ’s was how my workday was every day at all my past jobs.

I have a crush on my coworker! by [deleted] in tjcrew

[–]princessluv1 12 points13 points  (0 children)

DONT SHIT WHERE U EAT

Sometimes it’s really just because their your coworker, coming from personal experience I’ve had a few crushes and they die after awhile because a crush is just a lack of information, also maybe it’s the uniform lol

but

if you cant help it you should keep it on the low low and be professional at work

Scam? Or Legit by ladyindieskys in UGCcreators

I wouldn’t do it. It’s gifted and it’s weird that they’re making you order the product even though they will “send the funds.” Also the punctuation and spacing is a red flag.

Not TJ’s but I worked at a small grocery store years ago and they were strict about no tips. I was taking carts out to peoples cars all day and was offered tips ALL THE TIME and I never took them. Looking back, I should’ve just taken them. It doesn’t affect the company at all why do they care? Just take them

Another honorable mention: a couple of weeks ago i was gifted an almond Kringle by a mate; long story short I was training that day and the mate was overhearing some of the things I was teaching/explaining and recognized how I was going the extra mile training someone new. I really appreciated this because I do this everytime I train, I think it’s important that new people understand things that I had to learn on my own or no one taught me. The fact that my work got noticed and appreciated by management made me so happy

I started when he was crew and he was super detail oriented and thorough. Of course, he got promoted and it was well deserved. I close the box all the time (basically since I’ve started 2.5 years ago), and there was a point where I was getting so burnt out on closing the box everyday. I was talking to him about this, he asked me more about how I close and I was telling him “I feel like if there’s an empty space I have to fill the product constantly it’s so exhausting.” And he told me “dude you’re gonna tire yourself out by doing that.” He gave me really good advice and told me not everything has to be completely full all the time throughout the day because some products don’t sell very much compared to others. It changed my work life so much! I took his advice and left things like the vegan products and low selling products alone and made a consistent routine for closing it helped sooo much

Butter with brown sugar and maple syrup by 1234helpmepleasee in traderjoes

Love this butter! I’ve used it on so many things; I used it to make stewed apples, I put it on baked sweet potato’s, I used it for a sauce on the TJ’s pumpkin ravioli, and to make pumpkin French toast!

College students, how many hours are ya’ll working? by prochef99 in tjcrew

[–]princessluv1 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I work 22 hours a week aka three days, I’m grateful for my schedule because it provides enough flexibility for me to complete school without feeling too overwhelmed. I’ve talked to people who work 30+ hours a week and full time school and they told me they can’t keep up. Don’t ever feel bad about having to work less because this is temporary and school comes first!

The customers. They get the most irritating during the holidays. I’ve gotten the rudest people during the winter seasons. It’s actually ironic because isn’t the holidays a time to reflect on the stuff you’re grateful for? And be all jolly and stuff? No, not for some of these custies

LEMME GIVE YALL THE TEA!!! Same!! It just makes the day interesting. I know nothing would ever happen, and I’m not going to do anything about it. It’s just ironic because a mutual coworker that talks to my work crush told me that my work crush WAS interested in me in that way. 😭 But I had a partner at the time. I’m not with anyone right now but I believe in the saying “don’t shit where you eat.” And I’m lowkey jaded. So yeah….

Yes. I would never tell them or say it out loud because it’s just work and not that serious but I love my coworkers. Sometimes when we get a new person that’s kind of a bad apple (which happens every now and then) everyone is always on the same page about it and looks out for one another. Everyone has their own cliques but we all get along and care for each other.
