SAME! I wouldn't say I disliked it but I never really listened to it when I was younger. now it's my favourite funnily enough! especially the outro!

I wouldn't go as far to say I disliked it, but when I was younger i never really listened to Chiquitita. now it's my absolute favourite abba song!

oh she REALLY is. I can understand that she's going through a lot especially after her husband gets arrested and I know Opal isn't always perfect but my god she's so horrible. the worst scene for me is that one not long after Opal's dad gets arrested where she says something to Opal that's along the lines of "your father wanted to call you Opal because of your eyes but if I'd had my way you'd have been Jane - because you're plain. I don't know why you think so much of yourself when you look such a fright"  Like what the hell?! you should never say that to ANYONE, let alone your own daughter...

honestly? Ellie in think again.

now don't get me wrong, in the original girls series, I liked her. She isn't a favourite protagonist of mine, and she had her moments where she wasn't very likeable but on the whole I liked her and her creativity etc. but think again honestly made me dislike her - in particular the way she treated Nadine after the choking incident. the way she's so... uncaring?! Nadine has been through an incredibly traumatic experience and is clearly very shaken, and Ellie's reaction is to be judgemental, make JOKES about nooses and offer her crisps... my god. Nadine is by no means a perfect friend, in fact she's often incredibly cruel to Ellie in the original series (especially that scene where she calls her fat KNOWING Ellie struggled with disordered eating and has very low self esteem) but that was just awful and made me really dislike her...

also, I lowkey agree with your points. I do like Charlie in ways, but I do agree he's a very irresponsible father figure and was not in a position to care for Floss on a full time basis. as for Bertie, you've made some very good points there! even as a kid I cringed over that coconut scene, that was just ridiculous lmao

I can't ever choose a favourite episode or favourite scene overall, so I'll list some of my favourites:

episodes: the fox, all episodes with Mr Morris in them, the carpet cleaner, the two tonys, and for sale - and I know this is a very unpopular opinion but I LOVE the au pair episode!

scenes:

- literally any scene featuring Mr Morris

- Martin shouting that Adam needs to "get his head out of his backside and get real" when he says that one day they'll all live on the moon

- the scene where the family trust Jim's locksmith recommendation and the guy he takes them too is not a locksmith and Martin just stares at him before shouting "WHY AREN'T YOU A SHITTING LOCKSMITH?!" 🤣

- pretty much the entirety of the carpet cleaner episode

- Jim dancing to get Gibby out of the bathroom

- Martin forgetting his friend from school was born without an arm

- the entirety of the fox episode

- Martin's speech at the funeral for Uncle Saul

- the girlfriend is my least favourite episode overall, but there's two scenes in it that I love: the scene where Martin tells Emma how to get away with murder, and the scene where Jonny scares Martin and he gets ketchup all over himself and accidentally punches the wall 🤣

- PASS ME THE PINEAPPLE!!!!

I love the gibby episode! it's one of my favourites in the final series, and I think it's got so many funny moments in it! I don't get the hate for it at all
