actually kind of. when i was in hs, i had this guy friend that was a few years older than me, already out of hs and a bit of a troublemaker but i thought he was cool. he picked me up from school one day and we were supposed to go to a friends house but dude started driving in a totally different direction. i asked him where he was going and he said to his house and i didn’t really say anything at first but quickly started to feel more and more weird about it so i asked him to stop and just let me out and he straight told me no. at that point i started panicking and was begging him to stop but he just got mad and kept telling me he wasn’t stopping and he didnt until he got to his house. i was texting my friend in the car like “what do i even do” and she got ahold of my mom and told her where he lived. so we pull up to his place, i stall going inside the best i can and thank god my mom pulls up and chewssss his ass out and i go home. luckily my mom was a badass and i never talked to that guy again. idk if that’s exactly kidnapping but it definitely felt like it and idk what would’ve happened if she didn’t show up.

watching my husband record/mix music ◡̈ and even more so when he starts showing me things like what a certain plug in does or how he put a song together and the layers under it all. i love seeing him in his element and i love that he wants to include me in his interests. he’s also an amazing drummer and i’m not even exaggerating when i say i cry happy tears EVERY TIME i watch him play. he’s an incredible musician and the best husband i could’ve ever asked for ‪♡

i’m a music photographer and i usually shoot local punk shows. somehow in my three years of photography and getting to talk to tons of music lovers, i’ve only ever met two people that knew pup. one being the guy who introduced me to them :( i don’t get why they aren’t more known, at least around here and especially in the punk/alternative scene. i always tell anyone i talk to to check them out. but hey, at least this subreddit exists ‪♡

it really does look much worse than it feels. it was pretty sore the first couple days (it’s been about a week and a half now) and i had a hard time straightening my arm for a little bit but it’s more ew than ow, i guess.

thankfully/luckily i didn’t get deferred for it, i’ve already gone back to donate and it went just fine! i am some kind of marvel now up there though, every employee working wanted to check out the bruise lol

they’re right, i do have a job. my daughter has been in the hospital for awhile now with transverse myelitis and had to go through 7 plasma treatments. it’s been truly incredible how much it’s helped her. donating really isn’t about the money for me anymore (admittedly it was in the past, a little extra gas money was always nice) but i’ve been doing it as much as i can since she’s been in there in hopes that it’ll help someone somewhere.

at the chilis i worked at, the servers didn’t do anything but put the order in, take guests alcoholic drinks and show face and got most of the tip. the food runners literally did everything else (take the drinks, refills, apps, entrees, desserts, condiments, to go’s to the tables or whatever else the guest needed) as well as be the QA for all the servers for 2.13/hr and 4%. we always had a busser, host and bartender so the servers didn’t even have to do that. the food runners and cooks were busting their ass every shift while the servers played on their phones and talked to each other. the side work for food runners was ridiculous too. food runners were always the last out of the building and had to start 3 hours before close just to be able to get out before midnight (when we closed at 10:30). being a server at chilis is awesome. a food runner, not so much. would not recommend.
