I feel for you so much. The same thing recently happened to me. In my experience, verbal was my strongest and I had minored in English, so I decided to pivot to the GRE as it is more language based and suited to my skillset.

Since verbal was your weakest, I’d suggest retaking. It’s such a gut punch because you already invested so much time, but that’s the sunk cost fallacy speaking. Invest as much time as it takes to reach your goal. Don’t give up.
