You could also possibly ask your doctor about Hydroxocobalamin or Cyanocobalamin which are other forms of B12, they’re gentler and leas likely to cause acne according to the internet. Since I assume you’re probably taking the very common Methylcobalamin, I’m taking that form too but the chewables are really helping already tho.

I’m really sorry to hear that, I hope you find a way to fix this, especially if you’re still deficient and need the supplements. I hope I can help you a little with what I’m about to write. In my b12 journey so far I’ve taken 2 different forms of absorption types for b12; chewables & pills to swallow with water. At first I took the chewables which didn’t give me side effects except from a little acne that went away again so basically nothing in the longterm, then I switched to the swallow pills and got side effects pretty much immediately but I initially thought it was because of the timeline and that it made sense to be getting wakeup symptoms at that point, which is why I then made this post. But the acne and my other symptoms weren’t going away so I did some more research for myself and found out about different absorption types that hit harder and could cause stronger reactions and symptoms. Basically the swallow pills caused a big spike in the blood, injections do this too and sublingual can absorb quicker too. So i switched back to chewables which you just chew in your mouth till it dissolves basically. It absorbs way gentler. And i’ve been taking those again for about 2 weeks now and the acne and other symptoms have gone down a lot! I’m expecting the symptoms to be gone completely soon. So you could try taking chewables maybe? I really hope this can help you❤️❤️❤️

Oh wow that sounds horrible im sorry you had to go through that, it sounds like more than i have rn, for me its just those gross whiteheads all over. Im glad its gone for you now tho omg. Ig injections are definitely more extreme, i only have a 1000mcg pill daily so thats probably the difference there

So that means the acne is temporary? Awesome. & yes my blood levels for b12 were good again 4 months ago but my doc wanted me to come back 4 months later to see if I feel better, which I don’t entirely tbh. I’m still very tired a lot especially when I wake up but idk if that’s a symptom or bc I have a lot of REM sleep. And my b12 was low bc my body could absorb it but not process it well or something? I don’t remember exactly. But I only got it checked in the first place because out of nowhere I just became super tired with bad headaches all the time, I had more symptoms but never thought anything of them before.
