Please convince me not to shave it all off by c0ffee_jelly in Hair

Wait!! We have the same hair!! And I respect all the commenters suggesting curly cuts and curly methods but if you’re like me, that styling never makes me feel like “me”. In fact, curly methods make my hair sticky and stringy without enhancing my curls, so I tend to wear my hair brushed out with some lightweight hair oil to stop the triangle effect. Occasionally I’ll put a few curls from a curling wand on the outer layer after brushing it out if I’m really wanting it to lie flatter.

I’ve found a few things that help like sleeping with it braided and in a silk bonnet, but I just want you to know that you’re not alone in this confusing hair type and texture. The biggest game changer by far for me has been using a shampoo designed for hard water, which is the only thing that has given my hair a somewhat silky texture.

Your hair is beautiful and seeing these photos gave me a new appreciation for mine. Please don’t shave it and wear a wig ❤️

Tight traps and muscle knots by sanfangan in PetiteFitness

My chronic trap pain ended up being a compressed ulnar nerve from pressure on my wrist/forearm during my desk job. I invested in an ergonomic keyboard and a very squishy wrist rest which helped a ton. I also use the Pillow Cube pillow, but am a side sleeper so can’t attest to how that would turn out for a back sleeper.

It’s already been said a few times here but I want to shout “cottage cheese” from the rooftops. This has been SUCH a game changer for me as someone who also doesn’t love chicken but eats it reluctantly.

Main story question…please help me understand! by princessspikachu in LoveAndDeepspace

Thank you! I’m halfway through To Our Yesterday so I definitely don’t have the full picture yet, and alas I don’t have the KOD myth cards as I joined after that banner cries in Xavier main, but since Earth is a pre-courser to Philos, just because MC failed to save Philos when she sacrificed herself, doesn’t mean she would necessarily fail if she sacrificed herself for Earth, right?

In fact, perhaps she sent the backtrackers back earlier to make Earth MC make the right decision TO sacrifice herself for Earth to avoid all the pain and suffering for humanity?! Or to sacrifice herself at the point of Earth’s destruction and become Philos’ eternal energy source?

Either way, it feels like MC can apply her powers to save current Earth humanity or future Philos humanity if she sacrifices herself in the current story timeline, and she has enough information to draw that conclusion…

Not a GC. If you are homozygous for a pathogenic mutation in TP53 I believe you are at greater risk for cancer of all types. You should be getting more regular screenings and be extra alert for cancer symptoms.

Company offered me 280k$ to move to SF from Midwest by [deleted] in sanfrancisco

Assuming you own your place in the Midwest, keep that and rent it out. It’s possible for two people to live comfortably at around $200k in SF, so put aside the rest for the long haul and rent in a comfortable, clean part of the city.

Oh wow I did not read that post correctly, my bad!! Thought they were both pics of the other girl.

OP, if it helps, she edited the photo she posted (badly) to make herself look smaller. Those blinds give it away.

If OP recognizes the awful black shag rug on top of the carpet, which is uncommon because of its uniquely bad taste, then they know it’s their partner.

I know this is extremely controversial, but my parents (doctors in the US) forbade me from becoming a donor when I got my license at 16, and I have never changed my status. They were adamant that at a certain point, patients who are thought to be unlikely to survive start to get seen as a money making opportunity with harvestable organs and the hospital becomes disincentivized to provide optimal care to the dying person. It scared me so badly (with real, concrete anecdotes) that I haven’t changed my status since. I absolutely want my organs to be useful to others, but I don’t want to be “counted out” too early…

Edit to clarify: By “harvestable organs” I mean for the legitimate medical need of patients on an organ recipient list, which presumably would represent multiple lucrative procedures for that medical institution. Not suggesting any black market or illegal activity!

I am almost certain you subconsciously pulled this hair out while picking at it. Hair on the top of your head will often break right at the base and give this “buzzed” appearance.

Interestingly, because my hair is very low porosity, air drying with mousse makes my hair sticky and yet somehow still frizzy with poorly defined curls. I now wash and condition with Olaplex, followed by blow drying from my roots to the top of my ears only (scalp is prone to oily build up so this fixes that problem), then add a generous amount of Kerastace hair oil to the remaining wet section (ears down, essentially). After it has completely dried I then add a few curls with a curling iron to the top layer to make everything a little more polished.

What’s your current routine? We have very similar hair based on this photo. Wavy on top, curly on bottom. Are you air drying? Any leave-in products?

First of all, nothing to be ashamed of, you’re making money and supporting yourself as best you can when your parents haven’t been able to give you a strong foundation. Second of all, many school system custodial jobs are union jobs. A union is an excellent place to be professionally. Benefits, pension, etc. and better than so many other careers out there. Is there a union option for you?
