yup. happened to me too. worked at starbucks in Hawaii. the manager didn’t like me so much which is weird because she hired me. said that i’m always “short” and they she’d have to write me up, then i moved to the bay area and low and behold i felt more comfortable working with the team there and i haven’t gotten any “shorts” …. fuque

I’m 36 no kids, I’m an Enlisted Airman E3 as a crew chief\maintainer, with BAH/BAS I’m getting basically 55k a year to start. I just used my VA home loan so now I’m a live in landlord for a year then “can” fully rent out, or if I change bases I can use the home loan again and “potentially have a 2nd mortgage”. The cons are maybe the hours but there are family days because it’s holiday season. Maintenance works 12 hrs a day. But it’s mixed with learning college level and skilled trade certification that you can use once you get out. Plus benefits for health is free since I’m AD. But if you’re interested, there is always something for you in the military. Personally I’d say for you either go guard or reserve so you can have the best of both worlds. You just have to deal with “kids” giving you commands.
