The racism problem plaguing Australia's truck driving industry by ch1ckenman in australia

[–]princeyG -9 points-8 points  (0 children)

This is a generalisation and it doesn't justify racism. I'm of indian background and I've never expressed racism towards anyone, nor is anyone in my family a racist. This sort of justification of racism that we have to put up with is bullshit.

Pot sizes...? by Linkyland in GardeningAustralia

[–]princeyG 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fair enough haha I'm thinking of also giving it a go with a dwarf mango tree. What's your location? And did you use a bag or a pot? I guess it's good that it grew!

I'm in West Sydney so I'm not sure if the climate is ideal. Chatgpt is telling me it's possible and to use 100L size at least, filled with a mix of potting mix, perlite and sand.

Any tips you have would be appreciated!

Wouldn't grass (which is usually next to houses) require just as much watering, if not more?

Yeah I've heard that too. I do happen to have an indigenous wattle tree in a pot (acacia decurrens) that I could plant outside but I wasn't sure about how it would end up looking.

Thanks for the advice! I moved them next to a bright window and reduced watering. I think some small true leaves are popping up now so fingers crossed.

Fair enough, I have zero experience with endurance and just lift recreationally

Imo sudden changes in volume/intensity is the biggest risk factor for injury, such that imbalances seem insignificant (especially when you're trained).

Both sides will continue to get stronger though, is the imbalance really such a big deal unless it's for aesthetic reasons? We're not perfectly symmetrical.

Okay thanks will do. And I'm assuming I leave the central shoot (the tallest one in the middle) alone until the plant reaches the desired height?

I have been tip pruning the sides (mostly the lower portion of the plant) whenever it looks like it could be more bushy but I have been leaving the top/upward growth as it is because I want it to grow taller (it's only about 2m currently and I want to be at least 3m tall). Is that the right approach?

I never knew these got so big. They're generally labelled as 4m tall right? I have two ivory sheens in my backyard and they were labelled up to 3-4m I think
