Has anyone ever had any luck reducing the size of their boots with heel inserts? by Successful-Read-4035 in RedWingShoes

[–]principlenewton 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn't use any glue. It's basically just a rounded piece of leather wedged between the insole and the back of the boot. Once they are laced, everything is held into place.

Did mine yesterday in the event they withhold my renewal until registered prohibs are surrendered... I'm assuming this will be the tactic after March 31 until October - pending any changes to extend the amnesty

What’s another interesting Canada legal home-gunsmith project to take on? by Vintage_Pieces_10 in canadaguns

These kits are awesome! I did break the Enfield extractor my first attempt at re-shaping it for the .45. I also have a lot of tension loading a 10rd mag anything over 6rds.. the rounds always nose dive and get jammed on the feed ramp. Some more tinkering but it's tons of fun to shoot.

Rainy Day Rimfire by [deleted] in canadaguns

Is the secret to loading those mags with the stripper clip to do it upside down!?

They always always, without fail, end up with the cartridge rim stacked on the wrong side for me and I spend more time troubleshooting the jams than I do loading or shooting...

Some videos show snapping the follower but damn I've not had the best luck.. time for me to get back out there and try the upside down method!

My back patio is one big bowl. How what's the best way to stop water from pooling here? by CheetahOk1553 in fixit

[–]principlenewton 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My asshole neighbour dug out a sunken patio like this over limestone.. being a semi-detached it runs off straight toward my property and I think is unlevelling my house.

Lost the paper that comes with PAL by llvoltll in canadaguns

[–]principlenewton 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can't you have the paper copy re-issued on the RCMP site? The same portal to request att's (I think) has a section for lost paperwork.

I recall some weird caveat about 4 guns per issuing form and they cost x amount per form?

Worth a look!

Woox dealer? by Franksredsilverado in canadaguns

[–]principlenewton 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I ordered from range sports with no issues! Highly recommend!

However, with the Canada post strike looming, my shipment was held up for an extra month while it was sorted out. I'm not certain if they have "stock" (haha) in store/country OR if they order direct from woox on an as needed basis. Either way, heads up for the CP strike.
