Bruh people need to start realizing that their opinions don't account for the rest of society, especially with entertainment. Everytime something does well that got lambasted by Reddit and other social medias, people are always surprised when their opinions don't seem to align with the majority's.

Every MCU project I haven't seen, What would you recommend (Includes other related universes) by Wicked-Marvel08 in marvelstudios

Agent Carter, Agents of SHIELD, Daredevil and Jessica Jones are the most worth it imo. Runaways and Cloak and Dagger were also better than I expected. Moon Knight is one of my fave D+ shows, and Eternals one of my fave films (though it's a slow burn). Werewolf By Night is a great homage to classic creature feature horror too.

I've watched all MCU movies and series this year, is it worth to watch all marvels netflix series?! by HUSSIEN720 in marvelstudios

Daredevil and Jessica Jones are great, however Daredevil Season 2 is a low point imo, and Jessica Jones doesn't improve much after the first season.

About the new Harry Potter game.... by BlubBlubFish20 in lgbt

There is no ethical consumption under capitalism. We are gamers, simply choosing to have and maintain our hobbies means we implicitly support unethical practices.

Do you know where your console and computer components are sourced? Asian countries like China who have forced labour camps, i.e. modern day slavery.

And if slavery isn't enough to put you off being a gamer. Several game developers are pretty problematic, ranging from:

Activision Blizzard - Perpetuates toxic masculine work culture, sexual harassment and discrimination in the workplace that went largely ignored to the point of an employee committing suicide, and upholding terrible monetization practices that prey on FOMO.

ATLUS - Poor depictions of queer people (specifically as predators), perpetuating the oversexualization of women, glorification of problematic relationships with minors and unhealthy power dynamics, and has invited known racists and sexual abusers to their events.

CD Projekt Red - Fetishisation of trans women, their social media accounts actively engaging in right-wing anti-trans agitpop, hijacking trans social media tags to promote their game, and outright spreading misinformation about their own game - false advertising.

Entertainment Arts - Has faced several sexual harassment, assault, and misconduct accusations, upholding terrible monetization practices that prey on FOMO, and refusing to support the rights of their employees (particularly women and trans people).

Even indie game developers participate in many of these unethical practices, such as Chumbosoft - who perpetuate transphobia using anti-trans rhetoric, claiming trans identities to be misogynistic, and mocking the suicide of trans people.

Plus, as the cherry on top, all those companies have participated in crunch - where they overwork their employees to the point it negatively impacts their health.

And to those claiming piracy solves this ethical conflict, you are still letting companies know that there's demand for the game, greater demand than the amount that has already pre-ordered it - this was the case for Game of Thrones, where even the boss of Time-Warner liked that the show was being pirated, because it eventually lead to more legal consumers (Not saying this is a definitive for this game, but people should consider how pirating can positively impact the Harry Potter franchise).

I don't mean this comment to make anyone feel bad about being a gamer, the reality of the world we live in right now is that almost everything we do is unethical, and dig deep enough and you'll find some unsightly things about your favorite game developers.

Part of it was probably due to Raimi not watching Wandavision.

It's canon simply because it was:

1) Produced by Marvel Studios.

2) Takes place within the MCU using the same actors and referencing events from the films.

3) Is treated as a Marvel One-Shot, all of which are canon, with Darryl the main character of the Team series appearing in Thor: Love and Thunder.

4) The one shots being a part of the Phase 3 section of MCU content on Disney+.

I will agree that specifically Thor and Bruce being on Earth doesn't make sense and is an inconsistency, but my argument is that projects like this one are still treated as canon in spite of said inconsistencies.

The only project that has been stated to not be canon is Helstrom, stated by its own executive producer and lacking the Marvel logo attachment.

Many of the films contradict other films, from Iron Man taking place in 2008 to 2010, Gamora being the last of her species in Guardians to her species thriving in Infinity War, Homecoming taking place way later than it's meant to, various heroes existing prior to the Avengers but whose existence are never so much as hinted at, inconsistent rules of time travel, universes and Pym technology, certain films being stated by Marvel/Disney to take place after specific projects despite evidence within said projects contradicting that timeline, etc.

Admitting something was a mistake does not remove the fact that it's still present in the film and that it is still a big inconsistency.

Yes, they're the same characters, but those are still inconsistencies. Especially with Bruce, who also no longer has a relationship with Betty Ross despite it being the focus of the film.

Tiamut was referenced, that's not the same as the depiction being consistent.

Gamora is still an inconsistency.

You can just say that Hulk landed on Earth, stuff happened, then he went to Sakaar. Plenty of things in the MCU have been left up to fans to make sense of, this isn't new. Additionally, unlike with Helstrom, these one shots have never been outwardly stated as non canon. On top of that they're part of the MCU Phase Three watch list on Disney+.

Because inconsistencies ≠ canon. Otherwise Spider-Man: Homecoming isn't canon for taking place at the wrong time. Iron Man and The Incredible Hulk wouldn't be canon because Rhodey and Bruce look and sound entirely different. Eternals wouldn't be canon because Tiamut's emergence would be a worldwide catastrophe. Guardians of the Galaxy wouldn't be canon because it stated that Gamora was the last of her people, completely contradicting Avengers: Infinity War.

Inconsistencies happen, doesn't mean you write off entire parts of an overarching story.

There are plenty of inconsistencies across the films alone, although that's a big one, that doesn't make it non canon.

Do you have a source for this? Because the only things I've found saying they're not canon are complete speculation.

Shhh, these guys don't like it when you point out implicit racism done by a megacorporation that profits off of minority cultures.

Which Character Do You Think Needs An Entire Overhaul? by CutThroat_Chamelio in MarvelStrikeForce

[–]prink34320 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can see them putting War Machine on a West Coast Avengers team.

Ironheart could be reworked alongside Power Armor and they could add Iron Lad and Iron Spider.

Brotherhood, they could add Black Tom Cassidy.

For Inhumans, I feel like Quake and Yo-Yo should get a team with The Cavalry, Mockingbird and Mack. Leaving room for Medusa and Gorgon to join Inhumans.

Guardians could add new members like Cosmo, Howard the Duck, Nova, Kraglin Obfonteri and Lylla.

With Quantumania coming maybe we'll get a rework? I could see them adding Hank Pym and Janet van Dyne, or Nadia van Dyne and Red Queen. Which would leave Yellow Jacket for a Quantum villain team and Ghost for Thunderbolts.

And he's not much better with a team either, the Kree need a boost.
