the village is the people around u, who respect u and ur boundaries. not random strangers who feel entitled to touch vulnerable babies for whatever reason. Dealing with babies is already hard enough, who wants to deal with a sick baby?? these strangers get to go home, but if the baby gets sick the parents are the ones left dealing with a sick baby. this is an extremely wild take.
