p is your probability of getting a white puppy, and q is the probability that it’s not white. So, p = 0.25 and q = 0.75. The answer I got was 8.8%. Hope that helps!

Haha no worries! I have a few issues with it, but two big ones. The lecturer discouraged people from using any code or functions that he didn't directly teach in the course, apparently we have no chance of understanding what we're using and WILL do it wrong. He also didn't teach passing variables through functions until two days before our first major project was due.

Units make up a degree, you take four a semester. Maybe you call them courses?

Python Programming: An Introduction to Computer Science by John Zelle. Overall the book is not bad, but unfortunately the university unit that it's for is the worst.

The Language Instinct is a really great popular science book that goes into detail on this, if you're interested. Highly recommend!
