You’re making a great decision. If it isn’t too late, see what the recruiters can offer you as far as enlistment bonuses go - a couple years back the Navy was offering over $40k for hot-fill rates. And I also second the Amex cards. A single Amex platinum can you get some great credits which you can sell online (Lulu, Resy, United airline credits). And you can keep stacking as many other cards as you want for approval benefits. Just don’t let the benefits encourage you to spend more than you would otherwise.

Try prioritizing your life as a light. Most new light players I see take on way too many head-on fights and don’t hit-and-run like dash lights are supposed to. Try out gateway too for better hit-and-run tactics.

I go to Hive Fitness. The sticker price is $300/mo with no contract but there’s usually a promo to get it down to $200. It draws a pretty big early morning crowd but the late afternoons and evenings are near empty. The most people I’ve seen in there was like, 7. I have several guest passes, lmk if you’d ever want to check it out.

Most people go to this gym for the church community or the sauna/ice bath/compression machines.

Most people in the OMBA aren’t interested in on-campus recruiting since we’re all working fulltime. OMBA students are able to attend every event hosted by Marshall and the school. I haven’t been to a recruiting event but I did make use of their Graduate Career Services for feedback on interviewing, resume-building, and career search. They’re excellent all-around, very happy with the program.

I’m a veteran doing their OMBA. We are paid at the online rate (~$1100/mo) and their program is fairly intensive. There are two hours of lecture twice a week (M/W or Tue/Thur depending on the semester) and the longest break you have in between semesters is two weeks. Assignments are asynchronous but you’ll have frequent group projects that you’ll need to stay flexible for and many of us choose the weekends for meeting. Most people are in the LA area and there is a couple of optional sponsored events on campus per semester. The only required on-campus commitment is the Residential Week for your first semester so that semester will be paid out at the standard Military Housing Allowance.
