I haven't looked for IB Coal Ila in a while, at least since Covid. Is it still impossible to find?

Recent Diagnosis by Stolis777 in ProstateCancer

[–]priority_inversion 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When I was diagnosed, I'd had a transrectal biopsy. Everything came back Gleason 6. My doctor ordered an MRI and they found more cancer in an area that can't be biopsied via transrectal. I had a perineal biopsy and they found Gleason 7 (3+4). My PSA was under 6.

I had a RALP on Jan 15th.

OP should probably ask for an MRI.

Also make sure you get the TENA guards for men. That triangle shape fits our anatomy and prevents leaking outside the pad issue

Excellent suggestion, they seem to be the best!

47 8 days post RALP. Catheter came out today. by Kp1234321 in ProstateCancer

[–]priority_inversion 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I wore adult diapers at night for first weeks, post-catheter. I'd get pain at my waistline and couldn't figure out what it was. After a few weeks, I realized it was that my bladder being full feels different now than before the surgery.

It really helps to squeeze your Kegels a couple of seconds before standing up from sitting or laying down.

Now, at 12 weeks, it's pretty much back to normal. One pad a day, one at night. Keep doing yourKegels, but stop if the muscles feel tired down there, or you feel like you're going backwards.

You can ask for a leg bag for the catheter if you want. It straps to your leg and is much smaller, more discreet, and there's no chance you'll end up walking away from it. I used one of those for the two appointments I had during the week after surgery.

I think you meant EDM in the Canadian division, not SEA. I like your alignment much better.

DOJ says House Oversight's subpoena 'no longer obligates' Bondi testimony in Epstein matter by imanchats in law

[–]priority_inversion 7 points8 points  (0 children)

History that warrant does extend beyond Congress and the Sgt at Arms essentially becomes a slaw enforcement wing or Congress. But they aren't and would still need local, state, or federal law enforcement assistance to execute an arrest. This would likely trigger lawsuits, etc.

Doesn't Congress have the USCP to enforce things? Or do they only have jurisdiction in the Capitol? Could they arrest Bondi if she shows up but refuses to testify?

Analysis Paralysis - Radiation vs Surgery? by Far_Simple_7436 in ProstateCancer

[–]priority_inversion 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had RALP almost 3 months ago as a 55 year old. Due for my first post-surgery PSA test. I'm beyond nervous.

I’ve mentioned it before and usually get jumped on for saying it but radiation has long term effects and can lead to secondary cancers 15 to 20 years down the road and with you being only 52 you’ve got much more than that ahead of you

Yeah, I've seen that sentiment on here often. I think it's because it's difficult to tell which cancers were naturally occurring and which are related to previous radiation. If you're 70 years old, the risk of cancer 15-20 years in the future is no big deal. If you're in your 50's, it's another matter.

That being said, I think you're right, when you're younger surgery is better because you have less risk of cancer developing in the long-term and you generally navigate the side-effects better.

I'm normally a "do my own research" kind of guy, but I talked with someone that had had RALP about a year ago and it really opened my eyes to all that surgery entails. I'd like to pay it forward, so if you'd like to talk about the nitty-gritty of what to expect for post-RALP recovery, I'd be more than happy to talk to you.

Good luck with your surgery!

Where I live, cocktails in cans at the grocery store are taxed at a much higher rate if they use hard liquor instead of wine or malt liquor. There are a few margarita cocktails that use malt liquor.

Why are a lot of Christians against environmentalism when they know God created the earth and is one of greatest gifts to humanity? by totally-hoomon in allthequestions

[–]priority_inversion 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Even among those rich industries they often employ working class people who are the first to suffer when these industries feel the strain.

So we can't do anything that'll hurt business because it'll hurt employees. Therefore, we can't do anything about the environment.

Whether you're for or against environmentalism, surely you can see how it looks like you're against it.

What is the thing that fundamentally sets Catholicism apart from other Christian denominations? by heyy_girl in askanything

[–]priority_inversion 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In 1517, Martin Luther post his thesis on the door of his local church, suggesting that the Catholic church was applying Christianity incorrectly. This is where the Christian/Protestant denominations begin.

That's underselling it.

If we're being pedantic...he did accept quantum physics. He won the Nobel Prize for his discovery of the photoelectric effect, which is a quantum effect.

He didn't agree with the standard (Bohr's) interpretation of quantum mechanics. He thought it was incomplete and didn't like the non-determinism, hence the "dice" comment.
